A 17-year-old male student is searching for the right career path that aligns with his personal and professional goals. He needs a system to help suggest the best career option. Two potential solutions are proposed: talking to professors to get their advice and insights on different careers, or developing a website to provide career guidance. These ideas are prototyped and tested with feedback from six people. While most said the ideas were not feasible in their current form, one person thought they could work with further refinement. Refining the idea of talking to professors with more user interviews was suggested.

- 8. 8 Test: 1. Talk to professors – this idea was sent to 06 persons by e-mail (2) and in hand (4) with a future talk by phone (04) or personally (02). 3 questions were made: 1. Did you understand the idea? 2. Do you think it is feasible? 3. Would you make it different? Tell me how! 2. Develop a web site – sent to the same 06 persons above, by e-mail (2) and in hand (4) with a future talk by phone (04) or personally (02).
- 9. Feedback 9 The anwers were hard. They all said they understood the problem and the ideas to be developed. However, 4 said both are not feasible, 1 believed they can become real and 1 had no idea about it. The main point discussed was about the presumed rationality of the stakeholder and the difficulty to consider all the determinant variables in his decision.
- 10. 1 0 The prototype made me see my idea in a concrete way. Interview more people during the empathy map to gather other subjective variables to be considered. One of the ideas – talk to professors – using interviews needs to be detailed. Isn t there any statistic criterium to deal with the number of people interviewed to the empathy map and during the test? This exercise convinced me that I can make it real, even if the beginning is full of mistakes. Talk to professors may be the easiest and the most effective way of solving the problem.
