- 2. These were some of the very first notes I made back in 2007 when I started the course.
- 4. The notes on the previous slide are very scrawled and written while waiting a for an appointment, but represent the start of thinking around the ideas for final piece. The initial idea is for a interactive installation/performance piece. One outline is for a piece where people move through an installation of a dark enclosed environment and have small videos projected on to them. It might be difficult to take down to London for the final show. (Vans, heath and safety, money, time. If there was a room available at Camberwell that might work.) Had considered using a space in Durham and having the show here in the North East, but think that would result in a rather marginal experience. The second outline is for a small space explained in the next slide. I would like to try out both of these environments if possible.
- 5. This very rough sketch is an attempt to begin the process of visualizing the final piece. It shows seen from above a small dark, environment in which a person (me?) would sit while several small multiple projections played on their back .
- 6. These projections would include clips of myself walking as in the Autumn steps project and possibly numbers of steps taken as well. Or numbers of steps generated by people walking past. I would like to incorporate an element of interactivity, so if possible a screen and mouse could be set up at Camberwell in London where members of the public could choose which clips of film to ‘play’ on my back. There are several issues that will affect this, money, time and my ability with the relevant soft wears, but I think there should be a way forward with this concept for the final piece.
