- 1. I’m a Graduate Engineer from Nagpur University having a total work experience of 27 years & 8 months in the field of Steel Fabrication & Erection. Plates – Cryogenic (Ammonia) Tanks, Atmospheric – Internal Floating Roof (CS- Single Deck and Aluminum), External Floating Roof (CS-Single & Double Deck), Cone Roof & Dome Roof Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Stacks & Chimneys. Structures - Light, Medium & Heavy – Conveyors, Trusses &Furnaces. Pipeline – Potable and Fire Water Lines, Cross Country Pipelines, Plant Piping. Since June 2017, I am with M/s Chemietech LLC –Sharjah as Project Manager for EPC of Field Erected Tanks Project consisting of 80 tanks – 16 M- 65 M dia ( Cone, Internal & External Floating and Dome Roof) for Dangote Refinery,Nigeria – 82000 MT. In April 2016, I was with M/s Ahmed Mansoor Al Aali - Bahrain–Structural & Mechanical Division as Project Manager for EPC Pumping Station Project- Electricity and Water Authority consisting of 3 Nos Ground Storage & 2 Nos Elevated Storage Cone roof Storage Tanks – 12 M to 48M dia – 1080 MT under the supervision of M/s Mott McDonald. Commissioned in August 2017. In Jan 2014, I was with M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited – Hydro Carbon Division as DGM-Tankage for Abu Dhabi International Airport Aviation Fuel Depot Project consisting of 4 Nos Jet A-1 Fuel Tanks(36M dia X 24 M ht)(Dome roof with Internal Floating Roof)and 2 Nos Fire Water Tanks ( 18 M dia X 16 M ht(Dome Roof Tanks) – 3000MT under the supervision of M/s Jacobs. Commisioned in March 2016. In Feb 2010, I was with M/s Larsen & Toubro Electromech LLC-Oman as Project Manager for the following projects. a) Construction of 2 Dome Roof (45M dia X 23 M ht)and 5 Single Deck Floating Tanks(37M dia X 20 M ht)-3500MT for Odjfell Oil Tanking LLC-Sohar. b) EPC for Fixed Roof Field Erected Tanks(21Nos) for Occidental of Oman- Mukhaizana - 3300 MT(7M to 48M dia) in CPF and WTP areas.The Dehydration Tank was a triple walled tank and one of its kind.(20M,36M and 40 M dia).The projects were completed in March 2011 and April 2013 respectively. In March 2008, I was employed with M/s Larsen & Toubro Kuwait Construction Company LLC as Manage(Tankage). The project was Revamping of Effluent Treatment Facilities for Kuwait National Petroleum Company comprising of Construction of 25 Nos of Cone Roof Tanks(7M dia to 25 M dia) spread over SHU,MAB and MAA Refineries-3000MT. The project was commissioned in Jan 2010. In March 2006, I was employed with M/s Heisco (Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Company) – Kuwait as a Construction Manager. The project was Field Erected Tanks – EPC services for Equate Petrochemical Company under the supervision of M/s Fluor. The project involved Fabrication and Erection of 8 Nos Dome Roof Tanks with Aluminum Internal Floating Roof in 2 Tanks - 2800 MT( 16M – 42M dia) and was commissioned in Feb 2008. In 2005, I was employed with M/s EPC Emirates-Fujairah,UAE as a Senior Project Engineer, since April, 2005. We had completed the Fabrication of 3900 MT of Plate & Structural works for Qassim Cement Plant, Saudi Arabia under the supervision of M/s IHI Japan and Fabrication of Plate works for Gulf Cement Company – Ras Al Khaimah & Jebel Ali Cement Plant – Sharjah totaling to 3600MT. These works were completed in Feb, 2006.
- 2. In 2004, I was associated with M/s Ahmed Mansoor Al ‘AAli (Major Group of Companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain)–Structural & Mechanical Division, as a Project Engineer, since January 2004. We fabricated Furnaces -2000MT for Alba (Bahrain Aluminium Company) Line 5 Expansion Project under the supervision of Bechtel & Solios Thermal. The Erection of the Furnaces, associated Stacks, Structures, Combustion & Utility Pipelines and Equipments were also in our Scope. The Project was commissioned in January, 2005. During the execution of this project our company was also involved in the process of obtaining U, R & S Stamps for Pressure Vessels and ISO 9001:2000 certification. I was asked to head the Stores & Materials department and our entire team managed to achieve the above-mentioned objectives. In 1999, I got employed by M/s Suwaidi Industrial Services, one of the leading Contracting Companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, engaged in execution of major EPC Contracts.Though I had been classified as Project Engineer-Tankage I ended up shouldering more than one responsibility. My duties included that of 1. Fabrication Shop Superintendent. 2. Project In Charge for Design & Construction of Plant Changes & Tank Maintenance Contract with Sasref (Saudi Aramco Shell Refinery Company). 3. Project In Charge for Tank Maintenance Contract with Aramco (Saudi Arabian American Refinery Company). 4. Project In Charge for General Construction Services Contract with Kemya (Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company). In addition to discharging the above duties I was also involved in Estimation & Execution of Medium sized Mechanical Projects (1 Million US Dollars) in Jubail. In 1997 I was selected by M/s Aban Constructions, Chennai for their Production Facilities Expansion Project - GC 27 & 28 for Kuwait Oil Company (240 km long Cross Country Pipelines & 24 Nos of Cone Roof Tanks-4400 MT). The other agencies involved in the Project were Parsons, China Petroleum Engineering Construction Company & Kuwait Ship Building & Repair Yard Centre. The project was completed within a span of 1½ years after which our team was repatriated to India. I joined them as a Site Engineer but was promoted to Acting Construction Manager of GC (Gathering Centre) 28. My career began with M/s Shrinivas Plates & Structurals, Mumbai in April, 1990. During my 7½ years of association with them I got the opportunity to execute major Tankage Projects all over India. I started as an Engineer-Trainee and went on to become Manager- Projects. It may please be noted that the value of the overseas assignments handled ranges between 1 million to 136 million US Dollars.
