This document discusses a study conducted in 1979 that used projective tests to better understand the sociological and psychological characteristics of 35 family heads in a Davaonon Muslim community in the Philippines. The study aimed to use three projective tests - the PTAT, Sack's Sentence Completion Test, and Rorschach - to build a modal profile of each family head and validate socio-anthropological findings with psychological insights. Researchers found the PTAT and sentence completion test effective but faced challenges interpreting the Rorschach due to limited training. The study provided an exploratory example of using psychological assessments to supplement field research.
