Indy Sena, Assurance Partner
Ever since my first day as a summer intern I knew I
wanted to make Partner. It’s hard to think that was
nearly 15 years ago. The training and development
PwC has given me, and the opportunities I’ve been
privileged to have, definitely helped fuel my career
and get me to where I am today.
Since joining PwC I’ve been able to travel the world,
working on variety of projects for a broad range of
international clients. Thanks to secondments and
smaller assignments, I’ve been able to travel to the
Philippines, Malaysia, America, Canada, Japan,
Australia, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Samoa.
My areas of focus include NZX listed companies,
large private groups, retail and consumer,
manufacturing and the retirement care sector.
A highlight was definitely being the signing
partner for Foodstuffs last year.
It’s been an interesting and challenging journey, but
one I’ve thoroughly enjoyed and that has created an
extremely rewarding professional career.

  • 13. 12choosepwc.co.nz Michelle Redington, Tax Partner Back when I started as a consultant in Wellington I never expected to be a manager in our Sydney office three short years later, let alone be a partner in just over 10 years. Without the experience and opportunities PwC has provided me, it’s hard to imagine where I’d be today. While I was in Sydney, I completed a LLM specialising in international tax at the University of Sydney, and I now lecture at the University of Auckland. My expertise is in assisting corporations with tax compliance and tax consulting work, while also helping multi-national corporations with restructures and acquisitions. I’m the co-leader of New Zealand’s International Tax team and a member of our China markets team. The journey I’ve had has been incredibly worthwhile and full of opportunities, including completing the Global Women Breakthrough Leaders’ programme in 2012. I can’t wait to see what my future holds.
