The basic QED learning arena has five structures:
1. EOD portal*– mainly designed to capture reflection and attendance data
a. Attendance
b. Writing
c. Goal setting and progress
2. Learner Profiles (Learner Sketch Tool as basis) – badge around strengths and strategies
related to:
a. Habits
b. Instructional goals (could be based on test scores)
c. Learning constructs
3. Work Area (currently using a third party platform) – learning management and
documentation system for competency based learning system (documentation,
feedback, assessment, reporting, and behavior) – badges around
a. Progress toward graduation/certification
i. Disciplines
ii. Civic expectations
iii. Behavior expectations
b. Habits
i. Project Management
ii. Quality Work
iii. Etc.
c. Endorsements
i. Mentors
ii. Instructors
iii. Peers
4. Educator Development – badging for professional development in:
a. Competency based learning
b. Student-centered
c. InTASC standards
5. Community Partnerships
a. mentoring
