Objective
 The objective of this presentation is to explain
about quantifiers and when to used them.
Also, it was created to learn about two types
of quantifiers “much and many” and the
differences between each other. Another
objective is to test the knowledge of the
learner.
Quantifier
 A quantifier is a word or
phrase which is used

quantity.
Quantifiers can be used with both count and
non-count nouns.
Count Nouns
A count noun is
something we can
count. It has a
singular form and a
plural form.
 ex: one car, two dogs; a
bus, three bicycles; a
house, six buildings.
Non-count nouns
A non-count
noun is something
we don’t count. It
has no plural form.
 ex: fruit, happiness,
information, safety,
patience, work.
Much and Many

neighborhood.
nouns.
 There is not much traffic
in this area.
Many

make affirmative sentences but it is commonly used
to make negative statements.

• How many parks parks are there?
• How many kids are in the park?
• How many slides are available?
• There are many kids playing.
• There are many swings to use.
• There are many parents with their
• kids.
• There are not many houses in sell.
• There are not many slides available.
• There are not many kids playing.
Much
 Is common in questions, negative statements,
and in combination with the adverb too.
Examples
 Is there much crime?
 Is there much noise and traffic?
 How much privacy do neighbors have?
 How much safety is there for the children?
