QUESTION 6 &7
QUESTION 6
What have you learnt about technologies from the process
of constructing this product?
Strengths Weaknesses
Opportunities Threats
ADOBE PREMIER PRO
• I was able to get the basics of the program very quickly and understood the
basics with ease
• After getting used to the program I was able to use most aspects of the program
without any issues.
• This allowed me to edit my film smoothly and add titles for the name of the
actors and the name of the film and add music to help create different moods
throughout the film opening.
BLOGGER
• I found that blogger was a simple and straightforward program to use.
• I understood how to use the ‘lables’ to group pieces of work.
• This allowed me to upload all of my pre – production task and embed my prelim
and my film opening so it can be watched from my blog
PREZI
• Before this course I understood the basics of prezi which helped me to create a
basic presentation
• However I learned how to add photos and adapt the layout of the presentation to
suit what I needed to do
• This allowed me to present one of my questions using prezi
PHOTOSHOP
• Photoshop would be a good opportunity for me to further my skills and increase
the quality of what I produce.
• For example I could’ve photoshopped the photos used to show the characters
and possibly make them more clear for the audience.
• Can also be used for comedy purposes
• This would improve the quality of my film after it has been exported.
ADOBE AFTEREFFECTS
• Aftereffects is also a opportunity to make my product better as it would allow me
to do different things with text.
• Could also improve the look of my footage by stabilizing clips.
• Would increase my range of shills to be used when editing other media texts.
• Allow me to add more complex features in the future.
POWTOON
• A weakness of mine is powtoon due to me not being able to understand every
feature of it and being unable to make it do what I want.
• It would be beneficial to me to be able to work it as it would be a new skill
developed and a new program to use when producing presentations.
QUESTION 7
Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in your
progression from it to your full product?
Things the I improved
• Camera work
• Editing
• Mise – en – scene
CAMERA WORK
• Progressing from my prelim I was able to get familiar with Cannon cameras and
was able to use all the features such as autofocus and attaching cameras and
microphones.
• This benefited me as I could film in the dark
• This allowed me to have better quality footage and improve the quality of the
clips
EDITING
• Editing has improved from my prelim and this resulted in more continuity
throughout my film opening.
• This helped to convey the storyline better and makes it easier for the audience to
understand
• This improved the overall quality of my final piece.
MISE EN SCENE
• From my prelim I learned to not waste any of the space on screen and that
everything in the frame matters.
• This improved the shots that I got and they fitted the genre.
• I was also able to position my actors within in the frame where I wanted them as
that is important.
