In my preliminary magazine design, I used a basic layout with dull colors and fonts found in Word. I received feedback that made me realize I could improve the layout, artist composition, fonts, and use of color. For the final design, I made significant changes based on this feedback - using a more complex layout with more colors tailored to my target audience, changing from a profile to medium artist shot, and selecting unique fonts to make it look more like an actual magazine. The progression allowed me to learn where I could enhance the design quality and audience engagement.
