Opening the rear

This is where you can easily pries
open the rear casing of the phone

You may use your thumb nail to
simply lift up the rear casing
cover. It is not tight and easy to
open.
Inside the phone
You will find how the inside looks
like after removing the rear plastic
case of the phone.
Removing the
phone battery –
Step 1
Simply find the grooves at the
edge as shown to lift up the
phone battery.
Where to insert
or remove the
SIM card?
Once the battery is removed,
you’ll find the top left slot which is
where you could easily slide in/out
your SIM card to use this phone.

Putting back the

This is how you align the battery
connectors for putting it back to
the phone.

proper alignment with battery
connectors and gently push it in.

completely back to the phone for

casing over the phone body from
the top.

Gently press down the rear casing
over the phone body from the
lower side to close with a click
sound.
Turning on the
phone – Step 1
From the front view of the phone,
you’ll find the lower right corner
has a button as where the thumb
is pointing in the photo. This is the
on/off button.

Press and hold for about 3
seconds and the phone should
start up. Once screen starts up,
stop pressing on the on/off button.

The phone will greet you “Hello,
Ko!”
This is the
screen when the
phone is ready
When you see this screen, it
means the phone has started up
completely for use.
Getting to the
“Menu”
You’ll find the word “Menu” at the
lower right of the phone screen.
Use your favorite finger tip to
press this “screen button” to get to
the menu.
Calibrating the
phone to work
for your finger
You’ll find the word “Menu” at the
lower right of the phone screen.

Phone settings
You’ll find the word “Phone
settings”. Use your favorite finger
tip to press this “screen button” to
get to the next.
Calibration
You’ll find the word “Calibration”.

Calibrating the

You’ll find the “cross icon” on
screen. Use your favorite finger
tip to press this “cross icon” where
it shows up on different part of the
screen. This is to tell the phone
how to recognize the way you
touch the screen.
Getting back to
home screen –
Step 1
At any point you want to get back
to the home screen to use the
phone easily, just press this on/off
button quickly and let go. It should
bring you back to your home
screen.

Once you see this screen, you’re
at the home screen.

Using your favorite finger to swipe
across the screen from left to right
or right to left will bring you to
alternate home screen. All
together there are 3 home
screens for you to drop apps on to
use. You may take your time to
explore these features later if you
like.

Where to charge
the phone?
This is where you find the USB
charging connector on the phone.
Gently pries open the port plastic
cover. Use your previous
Samsung phone charger to
carefully connect to this phone for
charging.
Volume control
buttons
These buttons are for volume
control. Press up or down to
increase speaker volume to hear
louder or softer when talking with
someone over the phone.
These buttons are also very
useful to help you scroll up or
down a menu screen to avoid
using your favorite finger on
screen which could be clumsy. I
use these buttons to avoid using
finger on screen to scroll up or
down screen menus.

When phone
becomes slow or
battery draining
faster than usual
Press and hold the “center black
diamond” looking button on
phone. This will bring up the task
screen to tell you what are the
apps running concurrently on the
phone. Apps you don’t use should
be terminated from running
otherwise it drains battery, slows
down the phone and causes
heating to the phone too.

Ending tasks –
Step 1
Select the screen button to end
task to terminate apps running in
background you no longer need to
use.

Select “Yes” to terminate a task
you know you need no longer
keep it running in background.
Power off the
phone
Press and hold this on/off button
to turn off your phone. This will
only work when you are in the
home screen. Only in home
screen you can press power
on/off button to turn off your
phone.
