Blockchain technology has seen significant growth and investment in recent years. Over $921 million has been invested in Bitcoin and blockchain companies, with $500 million invested in 2015 alone. Many financial institutions and corporations are testing and investing in blockchain technology. While the technology is still in the early stages of development, the number of use cases and startups in the space has expanded rapidly.
