This document discusses recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) which is obtained from construction and demolition waste such as broken concrete, bricks, and road pavement. Using RCA provides benefits such as conserving natural resources, reducing construction waste, and saving money. The process of making RCA involves breaking, crushing, sorting, and stockpiling waste concrete. Tests on RCA show properties similar to natural aggregate, including lower strength reductions of only 2-14% compared to natural aggregate concrete. While RCA can be a viable construction material, more research is still needed to fully implement its use.
