Lightmare Studios Unit 6 / 67 Depot Street Banyo 4014 QLD To Whom it may concern My name is Martin Johnson and I serve as Art Director of Lightmare Studios and Development Director of our sub – studio Burning Heart Software. I write to provide a testimony for Miss Thalia Colettis – an audio engineer who worked with the studio as part of an internship. Her task was to produce and master sound effects for one of our mobile titles. I found Thalia to be an agreeable and good natured person on our first meeting, but even before she came into the studio we had already enjoyed a very productive dialogue where I outlined the brief and she offered sound advice. Upon arriving in the office Thalia presented a bright and friendly attitude and set herself straight to the task of understanding the project, and the requirement. She and I spent many hours planning our combined approach including expected delivery milestones across the internship, and despite the neccessity of many iterations to get the sound right, Thalia never missed a deadline. She displayed a totally professional work ethic as well as immaculate conduct throughout. The results Thalia produced blew us all away in terms of sheer quality and legitimacy. We found it hard to remind ourselves that these sound effects were the work of an undergraduate. The level of impact, exaggeration and fullness we sought from these sounds were delivered in full with apparent ease. Thalia responded extremely well to feedback – when changes were neccesary she was happy to make as many adjustments as were required, and even content to start over in a new direction entirely. She was always seeking the correct outcome – it is an attitude that is difficult to find in the professional sphere, let alone from a freshly minted student. I would not hesitate to recommend Thalia as a professional audio engineer. Her work is of a quality expected of staff well above her age and experience.
