- 5. Versatility • Versatility is beneficial to instructors by allowing them creatively adapt their materials to meet the unique needs of their students.
- 6. Affordability • OER is cost effective for students who may not otherwise be able to afford the resources needed to pursue higher education. • OER is especially helpful when new additions of textbooks come out and students struggle to afford them.
- 7. Collaborative OER fosters collaboration between instructors teaching similar subjects. Sharing information and materials helps to enhance the quality and richness of the course content.
- 8. Inclusive • OERs allow for equal access to knowledge which lead to equal opportunities in life. • Motivated individuals who want to pursue formal education through OER will benefit from FREE, FLEXIBLE, MODERN, & INTERACTIVE resources from top notch universities.
