Renewable energies can provide business benefits for telecom companies. Using renewable solutions can help reduce costs by cutting fuel and maintenance needs for remote sites. It also improves brands through promoting environmentally friendly practices. Converting sites to use full or partial renewable power can save on fuel shipment and procurement costs while benefiting the environment. Telecom equipment typically runs on minus 48 or plus 24 volt DC, with microwave repeaters consuming up to 10 amps and larger base stations requiring over 50 amps, depending on site configurations.

A moderate microwave repeater (active) cannot have more load than 10 Amperes DC.Bigger ones tend to consume five-times or higher A core/BSC site with multiple microwaves up to 50 A BTS with some microwave racks (all @ minus 48Volts DC) Note:The above is set of typical ratings, actual load depends upon site configuration etc also.
