One of the most challenging task for the planners is the involvement in integrating hazard mitigation. The process to leverage the elements of the community in making it safe and achieve a reduction in losses of life and property. Planners can

Not only planners are responsible for the safety of the community many organizations rely on the planners as the planners rely on them to ensure a safe community. Once solidified, the group should focus on the hazards they face and plan to respond to and recover from these hazards. They will continue to revamp these plans with the same stakeholders or add more if necessary after each emergency or exercise. This planning cycle will continue all year. Local Emergency Managers should create hazard mitigation plans and other emergency management plans, to support their communities. The key and underlying focus in all of their emergency planning will be on saving lives, preventing human suffering, and mitigating great property damage in an all-hazards environment. Emergency Planners are vital in emergency management because they create guidance for all the stakeholders to follow during emergencies.
