RPM is a call for project professionals to expand their roles by advocating for beneficial change by facilitating conversations that value: • Conscious awareness over ignorance of project impacts • Regenerative and circular approaches over consumption, damage and waste • Collaboration and engagement over competition and control.

Possible reasons for project failure … • Opposition from people who do not wish to change their lives • Local impacts of mitigation and adaptation • Behavioural changes to lifestyles and working practices are very difficult to achieve • Project analytics increase accountability but not responsibility • Citizens are increasingly demanding that organizations share and demonstrate their values • If people do not trust the intent of those delivering projects, they will oppose them.
