What is Resume?
Resume: A concise document summarizing an individual's professional
experience, education, skills, and qualifications, typically limited to one or
two pages.
Focus: Tailored to a specific job or industry, highlighting relevant
experience and achievements to quickly capture the attention of hiring
managers.
Purpose: Used in job applications to provide a snapshot of a candidate's
qualifications, helping employers assess suitability for a position.
What is CV ( Curriculum Vitae ) ?
Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed document outlining an individual's
professional history, including education, work experience, skills, and
accomplishments.
Length and Detail: Unlike a resume, a CV is often longer and more
comprehensive, usually spanning multiple pages to cover academic
achievements, publications, and certifications.
Purpose: Commonly used in academia, research, and international job
applications, where a thorough overview of one's career is required.
Difference b/w Resume and CV
Length: Resumes are typically 1-2 pages, while CVs can be much longer.
Content: Resumes focus on relevant skills and experience, whereas CVs
provide a comprehensive overview of one's career, including academic
achievements.
