Technical Skills
Server Platforms;
Upgrading Server 2008R2 to Server 2012R2. Installing and configuring Windows Server
2012R2 ADDS, DHCP, DNS and deployment services using GUI and command line
interfaces. Configuring GPO, file and storage services, network policies and remote access
for branchecache. Configuring FSMO roles in a forest/domain environment. Setting up NAP
using DHCP server as an enforcement agent. Restricting user access to applications with
ADRMS and ADCS. Creating a central access policy using FSRM and DAC for user resource
permissions. Redirection of computers that join the domain to a specific OU. Providing ODJ
to standalone clients using a blob file. Implementing DNSsec, firewall configuration and
group policies for security. Managing and improving storage with 'feature on demand' and
using ISCSI. Disaster recovery methods using failover clustering. Improving network
functioning and redundancy using NLB and NIC teaming. Communication and trusts
between different domains, sites and forests. Using Hyper-v and VirtualPC to set up a
virtual servers and clients for learning and testing. Basic management with Ubuntu(Linux)
server. Setup and installation of Microsoft Exchange server in a domain environment. Using
the exchange administration center to create recipients and send/receive mail between
them using outlook mail. Setting policies that apply to user mailbox and admin accounts.
Using namespaces to direct outside traffic to the proper location. Requesting a certificate for
the exchange server.
Other Platforms;
Routing and switching with Cisco devices in a classroom network. Configuration of a cisco
router or switch using the console port. Setting passwords, using encryption and configuring
remote management(Telnet and SSH). Writing the running configuration to internal devices
memory and/or backing up to a TFTP server. Networking with cisco routers using static
routing and dynamic routing (RIP V1/V2, OSPF and EIGRP routing protocols). Configuring
access lists for router security, while using FHRP protocols for redundancy and increasing
bandwidth . Integrating NAT /PAT in a network for internet access. Configuring interfaces
and DLCI numbers for frame relay in a WAN environment. Subnetting using VLSMs and
summarization for proper network configuration. Troubleshooting failed connections due to
host configuration and subnet mask in the same subnets. Networking using IPV6 and
associated protocols. Using a router as a DHCP server. Creating Vlans, assigning them to
ports and giving IP addresses to them. Routing between Vlans using router-on-a-stick and
a layer 3 switch. Enabling port security to protect the network from unauthorized attacks.
Working with a Fortinet fortigate security device. Doing a factory reset and recovering a
password from the device. Using fortiexplorer as a management interface for port
configuration, SSL VPN, creating Vdoms, Vlans and hardware switches. Using policies to
allow routing, between ports and the internet. Limiting user access to websites and
applications on a set schedule. Managing administrative rights for ports, Vlans and Vdoms.

TECHNICAL PROJECTS
Willis College Labs June 2015- present
Completed several projects in a hands-on real-world lab environment as well as classroom
presentations:
• Configuration of a Wireless Router -Creating an ad-hoc network and joining other
networks. Maximizing security with router and network settings.
• Computer Invoicing- Researching and pricing of cases, RAM, processors, power supplies
and peripheral devices for custom built computers used for gaming, servers and
audio/video management
• Windows 7 Deployment -Image-based installation of windows 7 using DISM, sysprep,
WinPE, and WDS. Backup/transfer of user profiles using WET and USMT
• Group power-point presentation -“Windows PowerShell” history, cmdlets and versions
• Cisco Networking -Designed a network environment with a cisco switch and router.
Connected to the devices using 'putty' and practiced pinging from one network to
another network and to another device. Password recovery of a locked cisco device.
