INTRODUCTION ❖ In inventory management, the supply chain strategy determines when products should be fabricated, delivered to distribution centers, and made available in the retail channel. ❖ This kind of strategic process can be configured using Routes, featuring Pull and Push Rules. ❖ Once everything is properly configured, the inventory app can automatically generate transfers following the instructions given by the rules. ❖ To configure a route open the Inventory Application and go to Configuration ‣ Settings. Then, enable the Multi-Step Routes feature.
- 3. ❖ First of all go to Inventory > Configuration > Settings
- 4. ❖ Enable Storage Locations and Multi-Step Routes.
- 5. ❖ Then goto Configuration > Locations.Create a new Location.
- 6. ❖ Set Parent Location, Location Type and Save.
- 7. ❖ Then, goto Configuration > Routes > Create.
- 8. ❖ Create a route for the Location and SAVE.
- 9. ❖ Then Create a new Product under Products menu.The Route is added under Inventory tab since Applicable to Products are enabled for the route.Enable it and Save
- 10. ❖ Goto Route.Add a new Rule.
- 11. ❖ Create Push Rule for the Route.Set Automatic Move as Manual Operation.
- 12. ❖ Then Create a Purchase Order for the Product and Confirm.
- 13. ❖ Receive Product and Validate.
- 14. ❖ Goto Inventory Open Internal Transfer.
- 15. ❖ The Internal Transfer is created based on the Push Rule.Then Validate the transfer.
- 16. ❖ Goto Reporting > Product Moves > Medicine.2 Product moves will be created.
- 17. ❖ Then set Automatic Move to Automatic No Step Added for the Rule and Save.
- 18. ❖ Create another Purchase Order for the Product, then Receive Products and Validate Receipt.
- 19. ❖ Goto Inventory > Overview.The Internal Transfer is not created as the Rule is set as Automatic.
- 20. ❖ Goto Reporting > Product Moves > Medicine.A direct transfer from Vendor Location to Dark Room will be created.
