Essay On David Attenborough
~ Intro
I am sure all of you have heard of David Attenborough, or at least recognize his very familiar voice.
Although David did not get famous for biological discoveries, but by the many documentaries he has
made. He has made a lot of documentaries with several facts about many different things including
dinosaur fossil discoveries, sea animals and plants, and a lot of the many species of plants and animals
that live on this beautiful earth.
~ Early life
On May 8, 1926, in Isleworth, United Kingdom, David Frederick Attenborough was born into a family
of 7. His mother s name was Mary and his father s name was Frederick. They got married in 1922.
Frederick Attenborough was the principal of the University of Leicester and was also the author of
The Laws of the Earliest English Kings and Laws of the Earliest English Kings Scholar s Choice
Edition . David has 4 siblings, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. His siblings names were Richard
Attenborough, John Attenborough, Irene Bejach, and Helga Bejach. His older brother, Richard
Attenborough, was always very interested in the field of acting. Richard pursued his big dream and
ended up staring in the Jurassic Park movies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can learn from his passion and enthusiasm. If you have a passion you want to pursue, you can
take inspiration from David Attenborough and learn from how he managed to do what he has done. I
think that David Attenborough has really changed the world in several ways. He has been able to share
so many facts about wildlife through his documentaries and shows. He changed the way Animal
Planet works entirely by bringing the cameras out to the animal s habitat and showing how they really
act out in the wild instead of one that grew up in captivity. He has educated so many people across the
world about wildlife, which I really think that it is important to at least know a little bit about it. I
think that David Attenborough changed the world for the

United States, Missouri V. Mcneely, 569 U. S
Name and Citation of Case: United States, Missouri v. Mcneely, 569 U. S. (2013) Decision: The
Supreme Court attests. The Court noticed that its point of reference requests a case by case
examination when lower courts figure out if urgent conditions advocated a warrantless pursuit.
However, the State contended that exigency essentially exists in any DWI related blood test given that
blood alcohol content quickly decreases with time, the Court found no argumentation to embrace a per
se rule. The Court concurred that essentially postponing a blood test to get a warrant would adversely
influence the supportive value of the outcomes. However, it contemplated that when the state have
sufficient time to get a warrant, the Fourth Amendment obliges it to do as such. While getting a
warrant is unrealistic, the blood testing may well honor an exigency exception. Since the State
construct its contention exclusively in light of the proposed per se rule, the Court declined to detail the
significant elements courts must weigh while investigating exigency in DWI cases. The State Supreme
Court affirmed, relying on Schmerber v. California, 384 U. S. 757, in which this Court upheld a DWI
suspect s warrantless blood test where the officer might reasonably have believed that he was
confronted with an emergency, in which the delay necessary to obtain a warrant, under the
circumstances, threatened the destruction of evidence, id., at 770 (Missouri v. McNeely, 2013) How

Australi The Biological Process Of Aging
Aging is a biological process of growing older and a progressive functional decline or a gradual
deterioration of physiologic function with age that limits the ability to function normally and makes it
more susceptible to the disease (Magalhães, 2013). Every person has a different view and perceptive
of the aging process and mostly it depends on individual s cultural norms, belief and standards. As
Australia was a very diverse country, 36 % of older adults are born from identified 120 different
countries in 2011 with an increase proportion of 24% (from 0 64 years), 36.7% (65 75 years), 36.3%

Dissimilarity In Tom s Duration
The producer of this film uses the dissimilarity between real and imaginative to reveal the myopic
perspective of the main character. Throughout the movie s duration, the main character, Tom, has a
distorted view of reality and his relationship with a woman named Summer. Tom s passionate feelings
for Summer cause him to exist in an imaginative state for majority of the film. After his first sexual
encounter with Summer, he is shown walking down the street in a musical like setting; dancing and
talking with strangers. At one point, he even interacts with animated birds that clearly aren t a part of
the real world. Tom is in a dream like trance whenever he is around or has an encounter with Summer.

Film Analysis Of The Great Gatsby
When someone is talking about the American Dream usually what comes to mind is the pursuit of
happiness and individualism; however, after WW1 as the nations wealth increased and materialism
heightened, this concept started to reshape. As massive wealth differences started to become so
prevalent in society, this American dream in the 1920 s shifted it s focus to the desire for this luxurious
lifestyles. This decadence and the American Dream was a large theme of the 2013 film The Great
Gatsby directed and cowritten by Baz Luhrmann. Along with many other themes such as love, triumph
and tragedy, wealth, ethics, and the past. This film is widely known for it s elite use of film form to
express these themes such as mise en scene, sound, and narrative. A particular scene that has a variety
of the well used cinematic techniques in the film, was the extravagant party scene at the protagonist
Jay Gatsby multi million dollar mansion. This illuminating, frenetic scene blows you away with this
enormous, energetic, brightly colored, and lavish celebration. This party scene is really important to
the film because it holds many significance to the overall themes and key messages. When Tobey
Maguire, playing Nick Caraway and the narrator, wanders the humungous party, he suddenly runs into
Jay Gatsby himself. At that moment when Gatsby introduces himself he seems glowing with
confidence and wealth, as fireworks go off and people cheer behind him. This scene had a great

Each generation presents us with the different varieties of artistic expression. The prevalence of art
impacting society has always been constant. With the many forms of artistic expression that exist, it is
also easy to see how an individual can test out the different options available to them until finding a
specific form that suits their tastes. When this happens, the artist and viewer create a special mutually
beneficial relationship. This is evident in the article, Memory, Money and Persistence: Theater Of
Social Change in Context written by Arlene Goldbard. . Goldbard used her article to expose the
concept of social awareness and performances that are relevant to and can even change the open world
outside of the arts. This is evident

Powerlessness In Dracula
Humans adore all aspects of control, and the most crucial aspect that anyone person can control is
their own life. Many believe how hard someone works will determine what outcome they will achieve.
Humans have a drive to control their lives in hopes to obtain what they desire and deserve. In Bram
Stoker s Dracula, the fear of being powerless in a situation is shown repeatedly to reinforce the notion
that not all can be controlled. There is an ongoing power struggle between the characters and never a
truly clear winner.
Dracula possesses the majority of power throughout the book. His supernatural abilities grants him
with an upper advantage over a mortal human. He can control the atmosphere, shapeshift, and live for

Theory of Capital Structure
Theory of Capital Structure A Review
Stein Frydenberg£ April 29, 2004
ABSTRACT This paper is a review of the central theoretical literature. The most important arguments
for what could determine capital structure is the pecking order theory and the static trade off theory.
These two theories are reviewed, but neither of them provides a complete description of the situation
and why some firms prefer equity and others debt under different circumstances. The paper is ended
by a summary where the option price paradigm is proposed as a comprehensible model that can
augment most partial arguments. The capital structure and corporate finance literature is filled with
different models, but few, if any give a complete picture.

The theoretical models of capital structure in a world in which capital markets are not perfect relates
capital structure to several measurable and nonmeasurable attributes of a firm. The irrelevance
proposition provides conditions under which the capital structure of a firm is irrelevant to total firm
value. Turning the irrelevance proposition around, the proposition also tells us which factors that may
be the causes of corporate capital structure. The assumptions giving irrelevance as a result may cause
relevance if they are broken. The question is, do they, and if so to what extent? And what if several
imperfections exist simultaneously? Besides the irrelevance hypothesis of Modigliani and Miller there
are several other theories relevant to capital structure. These are the asset substitution hypothesis,
under investment hypothesis, the free cash flow hypothesis, the signaling hypothesis and product
markets arguments. 3
.1. Value Additive Model of Capital Structure State preference models have been used extensively in
the finance literature as a general framework for explanation of the irrelevance hypothesis. Both
Lewellen and Mauer (1988), Kraus and Litzenberger (1973), Stiglitz (1969) and Hirshleifer (1966)
have used this approach.

to some confusion.
NCC Students who showed up to the informational meetings left shortly after being told that in these
meetings the public is not allowed to voice their opinions since it was not a public hearing. There was
however a testimony form that could be filled out telling the Transit how the changes will affect you
which was not advertised.
The informational meeting was set up so that there were four tables that people can sit at while they
wait for one of the board members or Morton to talk to them about the changes they wanted to make
to the bus schedules.
The board gave out printed Power Points at this meeting explaining every change they are trying to
make and a couple other important documents. There were three bus drivers there but none that are
going to be impacted heavily by the changes being made.
Morton is responsible for the transit company as a whole and she explained that the transit is funded
by the state and federal transit system. Morton talked to each person that stayed at the informational
meeting to explain the reason behind her plan.

The Mysterious Zodiac Murders In California
The late 1960s when the first murder occurred it sent California into a panic. Fear gripped the public
as more murders started happening. Letters began to surface to the public by newspaper companies.
After decoding a letter the mystery murderer became known as the Zodiac. The mysterious Zodiac
made the public fear him by threatening the lives of numerous civilians. In Northern California the
self proclaimed Zodiac was connected to five murders from 1968 to 1969. Zodiac is also claimed to
have been responsible for more deaths. The first murder to be confirmed was of Seventeen year old
David Faraday and his girlfriend, sixteen year old Betty Lou Jensen, on December 20, 1968. They
were shot to death near the couple s car at an isolated place on Lake Herman Road, on the edge of
Vallejo, California (Internet 7). The next murder occurred on July 4, 1969 of Darlene Ferrin, twenty

Rock Springs Park, where they sat and talked. Shortly before midnight a random car pulled up next to

Social Class Differences In American Culture
In American culture, most parents would say that they are doing a satisfactory job at raising their
children; yet, each family raise their children so differently. The differences are clearly seen when
compared by class.
In the upper classes (high class to upper middle class), children are given hundreds of learning
opportunities and are taught to value education at a much earlier age. They are put into expensive day
cares that require competitive applications, after school art and sport programs, and enrichment clubs
that ensure they are building a foundation that will prepare them for success. These enriching
opportunities are only feasible because parents from the upper class have the money and the time to
pour into their children, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Importance of Education, A Personal Perspective
It has been twenty three years since the English professor knocked on my door to personally invite me
back to class. I was attending a small college, where students and staff were friendly, supportive, and
willing to help. I had always done well academically, but things had changed and now I was a 19 year
old single mother struggling to attend my classes. Perplexed by my numerous absences, the professor
had come over to encourage me and to convey that she thought I had tremendous potential. I closed
the door after our brief conversation and allowed disappointment to sink in. I wanted to go to school,
but the logistical challenges of being a single mother with an infant child, no car, and minimal access
to childcare made the task insurmountable. As a child, I had always dreamed of studying medicine and
now I questioned how I had arrived at this point.

Death by Landscape and the Canadian Identity Essay
Death by Landscape Death by Landscape shows subtle, but nonetheless significant, qualities regarding
Canadian culture. The author (Margaret Atwood) uses Canadian landscape, Native culture, and
character attributes to symbolize the Canadian identity. The struggle between Native Canadians and
European Canadians to define what makes somebody Canadian is a major theme in this story. The
historically inaccurate depiction of Native practices, as well as the less than flattering depiction of
Native people, is an all too real issue which is alluded to in this story. Another major reference to
Canadian identity is the depiction of the differences between Americans and Canadians. The
characters, Lucy and Lois, symbolize Americans and Canadians. ... Show more content on

So they have created extreme renditions of Native peoples both negative and positive. Negative, so
that they themselves can feel superior by comparison. Positive so that they can have something to
conform to. A truly Canadian ceremony that they feel their ancestors may have lacked. The use of
exaggerated Native practices enriches the story, because it triggers a feeling of distaste with Lois as
well as the reader. However, they also bring up an unspoken conflict within the Canadian identity
between Native and European culture. The use of these practices demonstrates the need for European
Canadians to both mock and Emulate Native practices. A major focus of this story is the Canadian
landscape, and how it affects its residents. It is an accurate demonstration of how nature affects the
Canadian identity. The Canadian wilderness becomes a part of Lois through the tragedy that has
occurred. Although she realizes it late, the landscape of the wild has become a part of her personal
identity. As she ages, Lois slowly becomes more aware of her obsession with the Canadian wilderness.
This quotation demonstrates her recognition, at the beginning of the story, of her relationship with the

of her children has had on her. She has become less distracted by every day activities and has more

Omnipotence Of Religion
In the bible it says that God made heaven and earth which include stones and rocks. God is the
omnipotent one so then he must be able to lift a rock, therefore if God is unable to lift a rock then that
signifies that he is not omnipotent. Either way it shows that God cannot be the most powerful if he is
not able to lift a rock. It wouldn t make sense for God to make a rock that he himself cannot lift, it
doesn t make sense because it would be a contradiction. His omnipotence is not something
independent of God s nature. It is part of his nature. God has a nature and his attributes operate within
that nature, as does anything and everything else. God cannot do something that is a violation of his
own existence and nature. Therefore, he cannot make a rock so big he can t pick up, or make
something bigger than himself. But, not being able to do this does not mean he is not God, nor that he
is not omnipotent. Omnipotence is not the ability to do anything conceivable, but the ability to do
anything consistent with his nature that he possess. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

the quick fix category more than it does anything else.

The pursuit of an ideal and perfect love and the way that this endeavor shapes human relationships is a
defining connection between the characters of The Notebook and The Time Traveler s Wife, written

ideal love but also a deep seated need for this kind of love is something that becomes very familiar to

The setting of the home is used throughout both texts. This evokes a sense of comfort and homeliness
in the reader, therefore making them proportionally more sympathetic towards the relationships of
both the central couples in question and allows them to interrelate the situations in their own lives.
Noah s 1946 plantation home is one that is full of life. His home is a refuge that is laden with
memories of Allie. In particular, a picture of [Allie s] dreams is located in the central location of the
house, see desire in . . . every stroke symbolizes the ever changing nature of their relationship, just as
Allie was adding to it every day, changing it as our relationship changed . Much like Allie s painting,
Henry and Clare s house in Chicago mirrors their married life, marked by ups and downs. It has seen
their characters and relationships develop, at times being a safe haven where the house envelops us,
watches us, contemplates us as though it were a guardian. The house, however, also sees Henry s
frequent disappearances and Clare s endless longing, a love intensified by absence . It watches the
many arguments, Clare s multiple miscarriages, and eventually Henry s death, morphing and altering
with each new event. Through the setting of the nursing home, Sparks is able to evoke the emotions of
longing, distress, and pity in the reader. It is a place of sadness and loss, with the constant reminder of
an entire life, not remembered, she would stare at forgotten offspring, hold paintbrushes that inspired

The And Dark House
Ryan and I enter the dim and dark house, which makes it apparent that the girls are still out.
Struggling to hold my inner elation of the job being complete, I have no choice but to wait until Dana
gets back. I m gonna quickly run upstairs, I tell Ryan, so I can grab the money we now owe him. Cool.
You got any beers in the fridge? He asks. Yeah, I think Amy got some the other day. Grab me one, I
reply. Alright, Ryan s voice fades into the background as I pace upstairs. Now in the bedroom, I shut
the door quietly behind me and head to the bed, there I kneel down and grab the sizable gym bag full
of our remaining money. With the lid now flipped over, the bundles of cash halts my thought pattern
for a moment. How much do we owe him ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The rustling noise of the plastic bag containing our documents causes me to stop, I rest Ryan s money
on top of the counter and pull out the bag. A weird hunch tells me to put the contents in the bottom
draw of the dressing table, and I do so. With a shake of the head over such a bizarre moment, I
continue on and make my way downstairs. Here s your beer, Ryan extends a chilled bottle to me as I
walk into the living room. Cheers, I grab it and sit down on the couch. He follows suit by perching
himself on the armchair opposite me. The money I owe you, it s here, I toss the bundles of cash on the
small glass table between us. Much to my surprise, he doesn t look at all interested in the chunk of
money waiting for him, instead he tilts his head back slightly and takes a gulp of beer. I m not
interested, he says with a croaky voice caused by the liveliness of the beverage. With my throat dying
to be lubricated, I too indulge in the chilled beer. What d you mean? I ask promptly after relieving
myself. I m not taking it. Why? Because... I don t want it, he says. But it was part of the deal. Doesn t
matter, all I truly wanted was my five grand back from Dana and for my debt to Fabian to be paid off,
but I got that now, so this money means nothing to me. He takes another sip. With my free hand, I
scratch my head in confusion to his sudden change of heart, Something doesn t ring right here!

Natural Monopoly Supplies All for a Lower Price
atural monopoly is a type of monopoly that was because of high fixed or set up cost of operating a
business in an industry. And governments often regulate those in operation, to make sure that every
consumer can get a fair deal. In fact, the size of production that can achieve productive efficiency may
be a high proportion of the total demand of the products in the industry. Natural monopolies are often
associated with industries sector where there is a high ratio of fixed to variable costs. For example, for
a product to establish a national distribution network the fixed cost can be enormous but the marginal
cost of each additional output supply can be very small. Natural monopoly occurs when one large
business can supply the entire market at a lower price than two or more smaller ones, which there
cannot be more than one efficient provider of a good. In this situation, competition might increase
costs and prices. It is an industry where the minimum efficient scale is a large share of total market
demand such there is room for only one firm to fully exploit all of the available internal economies of
scale, and the industry has long run average cost curve falls continuously as output rises. Market
failure is when resources cannot be efficiently allocated due to the fault of price mechanism caused by
factors such as establishment of monopolies. It s also used to describe when market can t satisfy
public interest, and will result of a loss of economic and social welfare.

Honda Pilots Research Paper
Olivia Marano Mrs. Michael English Comp 101 December 12, 2016 2004 Honda Pilot Cars. You
cannot leave your home without hearing or seeing the monstrous vehicles tearing down the road.
Although these machines originated in America, it is common knowledge that foreign made cars are
much more reliable than any that America could create. One foreign company that creates such
vehicles is Honda, a company based in Japan ( Honda Motor Co., Ltd. ), and the 2004 Honda Pilot is
the perfect example of a foreign car that surpasses American car company standards in its
dependability, size, and pricing. When searching for a new car, dependability is one of the most
important factors that people look for before making such an expensive purchase. Most people ...

The Honda Pilot can withstand horrendous weather conditions for 12 years and still run as if it were
brand new, while its American counterparts only last 120,000 miles before requiring significant repairs
to keep it on the road. Its size makes it a great family car because it provides ample amount of room
for its passengers, mostly preventing the feelings of claustrophobia during longer trips. Besides the
large size of the Honda Pilot, another thing that makes it a preferable family car is the addition of a
DVD player in one of the models (AutoTrader.com). Having a DVD player in a car can provide
entertainment to the children, or adults, in the middle and rear of car. This entertainment is a way to
make sure that the children are happy and, if they do not enjoy being in a car, distracted from the ride
itself, preventing them from distracting the driver. The Honda Pilot has proven that it is the more
affordable SUV in comparison to its American

Art Comparing
Artists that concentrated on the Baroque style of painting had an uncanny ability to display their style
more so than the artists of the Renaissance era. In respect to their different approach towards shape,
room, and work of art, the differences in their styles resulted in dissimilar descriptions. Renaissance
and Baroque seem to concentrate towards the treatment of space, appearance, and color. This
uniqueness affects the description of a painting and therefore it cannot be seen. More so, than in
comparing Perugino s Christ delivering the Keys of the Kingdom to St. Peter from the Early
Renaissance to Caravaggio s exchange of St. Paul from the Baroque style. Perugino was considered

The Baroque style, used by Caravaggio, was the absolute opposite of any Renaissance painter that had
lived before him and because of this; it was probably the reason why he became the most radical artist
of his time. He deserted the rules that had guided a century of artists before him and because of his
theatrical break in style from the Italian Renaissance; he carefully brings a completely distinct
treatment of narrative. Caravaggio s action of form in his Conversion of St. Paul is extraordinarily
different from Perugino s work of art. One of the choices he decided to use was instead of outlining
Paul and his horse with lines, Caravaggio abandons this unique style and adds movement by using a
painterly style in which he uses paint to create an image and not rigid outlines. He uses color and
value to produce a unique form, causing a sense of movement in the figures. They are not locked in
time like Perugino s figures and express the exact opposite message of classical, passive figures.
These are strong, vibrant, and emotional figures. Perhaps the emotional aspect of the figures is created
by Caravaggio s introduction of dramatic light and dark effects, termed tenebrism. This technique was
a great breakthrough in art, which added great emotional effects and mystery to the art. Caravaggio
doesn t light Paul with a clear even light like Perugino

Forrest Gump Satire
Few people realize that the classic film, Forrest Gump, has its roots in a novel of the same name by
Winston Groom. However, if one were to read the novel after seeing the film, he would be surprised to
find an extremely different main character and only a slightly reminiscent plot line. The film, Forrest
Gump, is a romantic drama riddled with comedy. The plotline follows Forrest Gump and his
childhood love Jenny. Although they live separate lives, their paths continually cross over time.
Forrest, the main character, is a young man who has a low IQ. Despite this obstacle, he manages to
excel in life and even grasp the meaning of love. He is quite naïve, but still lovable. Although he faces
many difficult circumstances throughout his life, these challenges are matched with success and joys.
Audiences find the film one full of spectacular special effects and heartwarming scenes. The novel,
however, has a different plot line and falls into a completely different genre. ... Show more content on

fully comprehend what love truly is. In similar fashion, the baby boomer generation searched for love
and peace, and instead discovered sex, drugs, and rock n

why do you still have his number? Dylan is one of my infamous exes; we dated for a year and a half

and we were extremely public and extremely volatile; the media ate us up. We were basically a
(slightly) classier version of Britney and Kevin Federline. Dylan was one of the only hearts I didn t

find the feasible locations and well researched that location is it possible to filming. And the important
thing is not only rely on the intangible plan to film the video; you should have the storyboard on hand
before you start the official filming.
In the stage of pre production, we are decided to choose our locations in Grand Waterfront Club House

We have selected our reading week to start go filming; however, due to some of our team members

The Security And Privacy Of Citizens Essay
upon recently watching a movie titled Blow, I found myself asking how something like such could be
related to the embassy bombing events and others, like the bombing of the World Trade Centers, and I
quickly discovered that there are thousands of ways in which this is possible. In fact it is relevant
enough that the past two Presidents (Clinton/Bush Jr.) have drawn up plans to stop it and it appears
that America has an opportunity to tackle two rather large problems in one fight, killing two birds with
one stone per say. The only question left too answer would be what sacrifices will the citizens of
America be forced to make? Where will the line be drawn in the security and privacy of citizens. How
much are you willing to give up to lower your chances of being the recipient of a terrorist attack?
(Drug Enforcement Agency hosts symposium on topic) The links between terrorism and
narcotrafficking are real and growing, according to current and former U.S. officials who participated
in a special symposium December 4 at the headquarters of the Drug Enforcement Administration
(DEA). Hosted by the DEA Museum Visitors Center, Target America: Traffickers, Terrorists and Your

American public about what DEAAdministrator Asa Hutchingson called the extraordinary link
between drugs and terrorism. The symposium was part of an effort by the Association of Former

Kritika fulfilled this student learning objective when Kritika designed and conducted an experiment in
a classroom to make the students understand the insulation properties of several materials and the heat
transfer concept. To perform the experiment, Kritika divided the class into four groups and circulated
a sheet to form a hypothesis based on the students opinion about the best insulator among the
Styrofoam, the cotton balls, the aluminum foil, or none. The students hypothesized that aluminum foil
will be the best insulator. Afterward, Kritika gave a plastic cup to each team and three groups received
different insulating material to place at the bottom of the cup while the last group performed it without
any insulating material keeping the plastic cup as a control.

Age Related Macular Degeneration Case Study
3.7 Age related macular degeneration 3.7.1 Cause of disease and treatment AMD is the most
commonly seen age related ocular disease in the western world, is most prevalent in those over 55
years of age, and results in visual deficits [81, 92 94]. AMD can be divided into two categories:
atrophic (as known as dry AMD, 90% prevalence) and exudative (wet AMD, more severe) AMD. Dry
AMD is a consequence of drusen accumulation, and the wet form is associated with abnormal
angiogenesis (Figure 3). Currently, no effective treatment exists for dry AMD, and wet AMD may be
treated with anti vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs with injections directly into the eye
once a month, with no approach to recover lost vision [95 97]. Similar to DR, ... Show more content

The block polymers are synthesized in 3 step reactions, and the hydrogels may be biodegradable in
vitro and have minimal cytotoxicity in a human retinal pigment epithelial cell line [100]. The
histomorphology and electrophysiology was studied in rabbits and the neuroretina was preserved after
2 months of intravitreal injection. In another instance, the administered intravitreal release profile of
bevacizumab from poly(ethylene glycol) poly (serinol hexamethylene urethane) (ESHU) hydrogel was
also studied for 9 weeks, and averaged 4.7 times higher than in eyes that received bolus bevacizumab
injections. No significant elevation in the IOP was noted after injection, nor any severe inflammatory
reaction [45]. Compared to the conventionally used PEG PCL PEG or PEG PLA PEG hydrogels, the
ESHU hydrogel and its degradation products were more biocompatible (absence of lactic acid), and
the structure may have a stronger affinity for protein and peptide structures. Thus, the development of
such suitable materials may proceed in the treatment of wet AMD. Moreover, the four arm PEG were
crosslinked via the maleic and thiol end groups of the PEG chains in situ, and this type of
biocompatible hydrogel may be used for Avastin delivery in vivo. A sustained released was obtained
within 14 days, and over 70% of the drug was released during a release test. Further investigation of

The Colorado College FUCC (Freeride Union of Colorado College) bus is a student monitored
ski/snowboard bus that leaves every Saturday morning at seven and drops students off one of three ski

the bus, it is common for it to not be full when it leaves from campus. Last Saturday was no exception.
With about 30 college students on board, the bus left for Breckenridge Ski Resort. After observing the

As my peers rolled their jackets up to use as pillows, I noticed that the female presenting students
tended to have brighter colored jackets that were also patterned, while male presenting students had
darker colored jackets. The color of snow pants also depended on the gender. Snow pants are typically
one of three main colors: white, brown, and black. Women tended to wear more brown or white pants
while men deviated more towards black colored pants.
When we arrived at Breckenridge, students grouped together with their friends got their
skis/snowboards and headed to the gondola. Some people needed to put their boots on so they went
into the lodge to do so. After getting their gear on, the students in the lodge left their boot bags or
shoes underneath benches. Leaving their gear in public places, the female presenting students were
more trusting. The male presenting students worried more that people would steal the gear. The groups
of students were co ed, however, I observed that the male presenting students were inclined to lead
and decide where to ski/snowboard. Men were also prone to go first and faster down the hills than
their female counterparts. On the slopes, women were more concerned about safety and visibility
conditions than men.
After skiing a few runs, it was time to go in for lunch. The lodges were warmer than the frigid
conditions outside and packed with people of all ages and

Truman Doctrine
All things in history have a place and time. In fact we are history. Had it not been for the previous
events in world history, our existence could have been questionable. What would have happened if
Hitler did take over the world? Would we be alive today? What if the cold war turned hot at some
point? All these doubts tend to help an individual realize that everything in world history happens for a
specific reason and therefore everything has its own time and place. One significant event in United
States history had been the Vietnam War. However, the Vietnam War that I speak of didnÁ #9472;
#8805;t last from the mid 1960Á #9472; #8805;s to early 1970Á #9472; #8805;s. Rather, the events

He understood that Vietnam was the where the line was drawn. If he had not been stern with foreign
policy and his involvement, Khrushchev and the Russians would ride him all the way out of his
presidency. Just as Eisenhower had done, Kennedy had backed up Diem to fullest extent as well. He
believed that Diem played an intricate role in the success of the US presence within Vietnam. JFK
knew that Khrushchev had overpowered him. However, that had not fazed him. JFK knew that this
incident would not be based on leaders. It would heavily rely on counterinsurgency. In fact, JFK based
his whole foreign policy with Vietnam on counterinsurgency. JFKÁ #9472; #8805;s strong tactics
didnÁ #9472; #8805;t help him though. Events such as the Bay of PigÁ #9472; #8805;s in April of
1961 merely embarrassed him in front of the Russians. In addition, after the June 1961 meeting
between himself and Khrushchev, JFK felt quite overwhelmed by the Russian leader. After returning
home, JFK went ahead and called up the reserves, increased draft quotas, and ordered a civil defense
program. With thus in mind, JFK had a very hot hand on everything. He seemed to be very pro war
after the meeting in Vienna. However, before his assassination, JFK called for an end to the hostility,
and foresaw cooperation between Russia and the US. Nevertheless, JFKÁ #9472; #8805;s life came to
an abrupt end on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas as Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed

The Court noticed that its point of reference requests a case by case examination when lower courts figure out if urgent conditions advocated a warrantless pursuit. However, the State contended that exigency essentially exists in any DWI related blood test given that blood alcohol content quickly decreases with time, the Court found no argumentation to embrace a per se rule. The Court concurred that essentially postponing a blood test to get a warrant would adversely influence the supportive value of the outcomes. However, it contemplated that when the state have sufficient time to get a warrant, the Fourth Amendment obliges it to do as such. While getting a warrant is unrealistic, the blood testing may well honor an exigency exception. Since the State construct its contention exclusively in light of the proposed per se rule, the Court declined to detail the significant elements courts must weigh while investigating exigency in DWI cases. The State Supreme Court affirmed, relying on Schmerber v. California, 384 U. S. 757, in which this Court upheld a DWI suspect s warrantless blood test where the officer might reasonably have believed that he was confronted with an emergency, in which the delay necessary to obtain a warrant, under the circumstances, threatened the destruction of evidence, id., at 770 (Missouri v. Film Analysis Of The Great Gatsby When someone is talking about the American Dream usually what comes to mind is the pursuit of happiness and individualism; however, after WW1 as the nations wealth increased and materialism heightened, this concept started to reshape. As massive wealth differences started to become so prevalent in society, this American dream in the 1920 s shifted it s focus to the desire for this luxurious lifestyles. The most important arguments for what could determine capital structure is the pecking order theory and the static trade off theory. These two theories are reviewed, but neither of them provides a complete description of the situation and why some firms prefer equity and others debt under different circumstances. The paper is ended by a summary where the option price paradigm is proposed as a comprehensible model that can augment most partial arguments. The theoretical models of capital structure in a world in which capital markets are not perfect relates capital structure to several measurable and nonmeasurable attributes of a firm. The irrelevance proposition provides conditions under which the capital structure of a firm is irrelevant to total firm value. Turning the irrelevance proposition around, the proposition also tells us which factors that may be the causes of corporate capital structure. The assumptions giving irrelevance as a result may cause relevance if they are broken. The question is, do they, and if so to what extent? And what if several imperfections exist simultaneously? Besides the irrelevance hypothesis of Modigliani and Miller there are several other theories relevant to capital structure. These are the asset substitution hypothesis, under investment hypothesis, the free cash flow hypothesis, the signaling hypothesis and product markets arguments. 3 .1. • 23. Natural Monopoly Supplies All for a Lower Price atural monopoly is a type of monopoly that was because of high fixed or set up cost of operating a business in an industry. And governments often regulate those in operation, to make sure that every consumer can get a fair deal. In fact, the size of production that can achieve productive efficiency may be a high proportion of the total demand of the products in the industry. Natural monopolies are often associated with industries sector where there is a high ratio of fixed to variable costs. For example, for a product to establish a national distribution network the fixed cost can be enormous but the marginal cost of each additional output supply can be very small. Natural monopoly occurs when one large business can supply the entire market at a lower price than two or more smaller ones, which there cannot be more than one efficient provider of a good. In this situation, competition might increase costs and prices. It is an industry where the minimum efficient scale is a large share of total market demand such there is room for only one firm to fully exploit all of the available internal economies of scale, and the industry has long run average cost curve falls continuously as output rises. Market failure is when resources cannot be efficiently allocated due to the fault of price mechanism caused by factors such as establishment of monopolies. It s also used to describe when market can t satisfy public interest, and will result of a loss of economic and social welfare. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You cannot leave your home without hearing or seeing the monstrous vehicles tearing down the road. Although these machines originated in America, it is common knowledge that foreign made cars are much more reliable than any that America could create. One foreign company that creates such vehicles is Honda, a company based in Japan ( Honda Motor Co., Ltd. ), and the 2004 Honda Pilot is the perfect example of a foreign car that surpasses American car company standards in its dependability, size, and pricing. When searching for a new car, dependability is one of the most important factors that people look for before making such an expensive purchase. Most people ... The Honda Pilot can withstand horrendous weather conditions for 12 years and still run as if it were brand new, while its American counterparts only last 120,000 miles before requiring significant repairs to keep it on the road. Its size makes it a great family car because it provides ample amount of room for its passengers, mostly preventing the feelings of claustrophobia during longer trips. Besides the large size of the Honda Pilot, another thing that makes it a preferable family car is the addition of a DVD player in one of the models (AutoTrader.com). Having a DVD player in a car can provide entertainment to the children, or adults, in the middle and rear of car. This entertainment is a way to make sure that the children are happy and, if they do not enjoy being in a car, distracted from the ride itself, preventing them from distracting the driver. • 25. Art Comparing Artists that concentrated on the Baroque style of painting had an uncanny ability to display their style more so than the artists of the Renaissance era. In respect to their different approach towards shape, room, and work of art, the differences in their styles resulted in dissimilar descriptions. Renaissance and Baroque seem to concentrate towards the treatment of space, appearance, and color. This uniqueness affects the description of a painting and therefore it cannot be seen. More so, than in comparing Perugino s Christ delivering the Keys of the Kingdom to St. Peter from the Early Renaissance to Caravaggio s exchange of St. Paul from the Baroque style. The Baroque style, used by Caravaggio, was the absolute opposite of any Renaissance painter that had lived before him and because of this; it was probably the reason why he became the most radical artist of his time. He deserted the rules that had guided a century of artists before him and because of his theatrical break in style from the Italian Renaissance; he carefully brings a completely distinct treatment of narrative. Caravaggio s action of form in his Conversion of St. Paul is extraordinarily different from Perugino s work of art. One of the choices he decided to use was instead of outlining Paul and his horse with lines, Caravaggio abandons this unique style and adds movement by using a painterly style in which he uses paint to create an image and not rigid outlines. He uses color and value to produce a unique form, causing a sense of movement in the figures. They are not locked in time like Perugino s figures and express the exact opposite message of classical, passive figures. These are strong, vibrant, and emotional figures. Perhaps the emotional aspect of the figures is created by Caravaggio s introduction of dramatic light and dark effects, termed tenebrism. This technique was a great breakthrough in art, which added great emotional effects and mystery to the art. Caravaggio doesn t light Paul with a clear even light like Perugino ... The film, Forrest Gump, is a romantic drama riddled with comedy. The plotline follows Forrest Gump and his childhood love Jenny. Although they live separate lives, their paths continually cross over time. Forrest, the main character, is a young man who has a low IQ. Despite this obstacle, he manages to excel in life and even grasp the meaning of love. He is quite naïve, but still lovable. Although he faces many difficult circumstances throughout his life, these challenges are matched with success and joys. Audiences find the film one full of spectacular special effects and heartwarming scenes. The novel, however, has a different plot line and falls into a completely different genre. ... Age Related Macular Degeneration Case Study 3.7 Age related macular degeneration 3.7.1 Cause of disease and treatment AMD is the most commonly seen age related ocular disease in the western world, is most prevalent in those over 55 years of age, and results in visual deficits [81, 92 94]. AMD can be divided into two categories: atrophic (as known as dry AMD, 90% prevalence) and exudative (wet AMD, more severe) AMD. Dry AMD is a consequence of drusen accumulation, and the wet form is associated with abnormal angiogenesis (Figure 3). Currently, no effective treatment exists for dry AMD, and wet AMD may be treated with anti vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) drugs with injections directly into the eye once a month, with no approach to recover lost vision [95 97]. In another instance, the administered intravitreal release profile of bevacizumab from poly(ethylene glycol) poly (serinol hexamethylene urethane) (ESHU) hydrogel was also studied for 9 weeks, and averaged 4.7 times higher than in eyes that received bolus bevacizumab injections. No significant elevation in the IOP was noted after injection, nor any severe inflammatory reaction [45]. Compared to the conventionally used PEG PCL PEG or PEG PLA PEG hydrogels, the ESHU hydrogel and its degradation products were more biocompatible (absence of lactic acid), and the structure may have a stronger affinity for protein and peptide structures. Thus, the development of such suitable materials may proceed in the treatment of wet AMD.
