Executive Summary
The SAP HANA Cloud Platform extension package for SuccessFactors
is a new packaged solution, available since Q3/2013.
It enables you to extend SuccessFactors Employee Central scope with Extension Apps
running on SAP’s Platform as a Service in order to meet growing business needs.
Key Layers and Functions of the HCP-based Extensions:
 Harmonized Admin and End-User experience
 Extension development and further customization
 Application certification + SAP HANA Marketplace

Value Proposition
For SuccessFactors Customers, Extensions enable to add custom functionality
to their implementation. Extensions are well integrated into the administration as
well as the consumption experience. With a growing eco-system of partners
developing extensions (available through the embedded SAP Store), customers
can enrich their SuccessFactors’ functionality easily with low TCO

For Partners, Extensions enable a low threshold entry point to SuccessFactors
customers. Using the HANA Cloud Platform to develop and run applications based
on open standards combined with a lean certification process, the path to SAP /
SuccessFactors customers has never been easier.
