The following are a number
of puzzles.

What is the importance of
understanding the problem

How do you put a giraffe into a
refrigerator?
How do you put an elephant into a
refrigerator?
The Lion King is hosting an animal
conference. All the animals attend except
one. Which animal does not attend?
There is a river you must cross but it is used
by crocodiles, and you do not have a
boat. How do you manage it?
Activity 1
Each group is given a set of problem
scenario.
Discuss in your group how to solve them.
What phrases would you use to respond
to each situation?
Activity 2
What is diplomatic language?
How would you use modal verbs in
speaking and writing to respond to
difficult situations.
Discuss in pairs language used for
difficult situations.
Activity 3
In groups, prepare a short role play on
the given situations.
Each group is given 2-3 minutes to
present their role play.
