Science Activity based learning
What is Leaning ?
• The process of gaining knowledge or skill by
studying, practicing, being taught, or experiencing
something.
What is Activity?
Activity means “the state of being active”
Individual participation in work for effective understanding
and direct experience in the particular task.

What are the Importance of ABL in
Online Teaching ?
Convert Boring classes to
Interesting
To enhance experiential learning
of the student
Science Activity based learning
Science Activity based learning
What would be Importance of
Science ABL ?
• Practical science activities have huge significance in the
learning process. They engage students, helping them to
develop important skills, understand the process
of scientific investigation and develop a broad
understanding of scientific concepts.
Student’s Traits enhance by ABL
• Confidence
• Imagination power
• Creativity
• Leadership quality
• Competency
• Experimental learning
Experiments in Science lab enhance
• students' interest
• Motivation
• practical skills and
• problem solving abilities
Making Science models for exhibition is
important for school develop a scientific spirit
and curiosity in a student which in turn forces
them to think and creatively find solutions to the
challenges. Students enjoy learning through such
exhibition and feel a sense of belongingness as
they make the models with their own hands.

Learn by doing Activity
Acid - Base indicators (also known as pH indicators) are
chemical substances which change colour with pH.
• Eg- Red litmus paper turns blue when dipped in base.
• Blue litmus paper turns red when dipped in acid.

Science Activity based learning
• ABL provides a framework for the traditional concept of
'learning by doing'. Activity-based learning environment
prepares learners to be autonomous, critical thinkers and
knowledge constructors.
• It is a child-centered approach. ... Learning by doing is the
main motive in this method.
