Food Trucks On Demand:
Challenge
The Food Truck market is huge and only set to get bigger. However with this rampant growth there are also emerging challenges.
To be successful, truck owners must find ways to balance supply and demand with the ability to find and connect with customers in
a saturated market. Screenpush discerned the need for an app that would help food trucks mitigate risk by connecting them with
customers looking to be fed; while simultaneously providing a convenient service to consumers looking for food trucks, but unsure
about where they might find one. We devised Food Trucks On Demand as a unique crowdfunding solution that would be a win-win for
truck owners and consumers alike.
In terms of developing FTOD, one of the biggest challenges we faced was trying to figure out an algorithm capable of handling
credit card transactions in a broad manner that would be compatible with a new type of crowdfunding. We were also faced with the
challenge of how to keep our iteration development fast enough to compete with the demands of the rampantly expanding food truck
marketplace.
Solution
Front-end design in building Food Trucks On Demand was handled using HTML5. In terms of back-end development, we utilized
technological tools and platforms that included PHP, Zen Framework and MySQL. Early on in our development of FTOD, we also
discovered that existing off-the-shelf SaaS platforms weren’t really suitable to our needs. Thus, we choose to develop our own custom
ecommerce platform in order to run FTOD.
Results
Ultimately, we were successful in conceiving, developing and launching Food Trucks On Demand - a fully functioning app that services
multiple end points for the user, the trucks, the consumers, the commissaries, and restaurants that are looking for an entry into the
burgeoning food truck market. FTOD is a unique platform that enables customers to place their orders via web or smartphone.
Payments are authorized to customers’ cards but charges are only finalized once a truck owner has confirmed an event. Truck owners
confirm events when enough customers have placed orders to make it worthwhile for their truck to show up. Once the truck is
confirmed, customers’ cards are charged and they receive a verification code they present to the truck to receive their meal.

Notifly:
Challenge
Missed appointments, or no-shows, can be a huge revenue drain. Not just for medical and dental practices, but also for salons, stylists,
personal trainers and other appointment driven businesses. No show rates in some instances can be as high as 45% and for a medical
practice a single no-show can mean losing between $100 to $500 in revenue. Many businesses try and compensate for high no-show
rates by overbooking; leading to longer waiting times and client dissatisfaction, both of which make future no-shows even more likely.
Using phone call reminders to manage appointments can lead to clients feeling harassed, while typically leaving the business with no
time to schedule a replacement should a customer cancel.
Solution
While people are often unavailable to accept phone calls during working hours, up to 90% of all text messages are actually read by
the recipient. And they typically elicit a higher response rate than email or phone calls. So to help businesses deal with the problem of
no-shows, we designed and built Notif.ly; an innovative web-based appointment reminder tool designed to make it easy for anyone to
manage appointments by sending out convenient texts to clients. We also made Notif.ly’s basic plan available for free to anyone who
wants to give it a try.
Results
With Notif.ly’s simple, easy-to-use dashboard, medical practices and other businesses can now see at-a-glance who’s confirmed,
who’s cancelled, and who hasn’t replied yet. Notif.ly has helped many businesses decrease their no-show rate by over 60%, freeing up
business owners and employees to concentrate on important things like keeping clients happy, tracking down new leads and fostering
a better work environment. For many businesses, using Notif.ly can result in a weekly revenue increase of anywhere from $500 to
$2,000. This can lead to an annual revenue increase of between $25,000 to $100,000. By using Notif.ly businesses everywhere are
now making more money by ensuring they have no more no-shows.

Hill Bill
Challenge
Screenpush and our partner Balloon 27 Games worked together to develop Hill Bill, a new iOS motorcycle trick jumping game inspired
in-part by Evel Knievel and in-part by the old NES title, Excitebike. With team members in widely dispersed geographic locations,
including Europe, Los Angeles, and Canada, just working together and maintaining communications was a challenge. Also, one of the
key elements of the game was that it had to be simple and intuitive, something difficult to maintain in an intricate game with multiple
jumps, settings, costumes and other variables. With Hill Bill, we ultimately aspired to create a 3D game that would be artistic as well as
entertaining.
Solution
Hill Bill was built using various iOS development tools including Xcode, Apple’s powerful integrated development environment for
creating apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. For Android we utilized technologies like Jelly Bean and OpenGL ES 3.0. We used various
technological tools to bridge the geographic divides. These included Basecamp to stay connected for file sharing and exchanging
basic info, and OnTime, a bug tracking application. We also used Versions as our SVN to get a copy of the game up into the cloud.
Some tutorials had to be added to the game, but we managed to keep it light, while also striving to make Hill Bill broad enough to
appeal to both kids and adults.
Results
The end result was a motorcycle trick jumping game for iOS and Android; the storyline of which follows the adventures of Hill Bill, a
hillbilly who as a kid idolizes Evel Knievel. Wanting to become the next great motorcycle daredevil himself, Bill buys a motorbike and
embarks on a career as a motorcycle jumper. We follow Bill’s adventures as he travels and performs jumps across six beautiful worlds
and on over 60 different levels.
In marketing Hill Bill, we brought the full brunt of Screenpush’s proprietary marketing platform to bear in an organic earned and owned
media campaign. We identified high-value consumers based on Keyword-driven digital conversations and competitive analysis. We
were able to promote and distribute information about the game to well over 100-targeted users per day. We had a very high click-thrurate of 25%-45%, with a total download / conversion rate of close to 5%. We also engaged various game review sites and bloggers
who helped promote the game, and we gave the game away for free for a limited time, bumping up its overall ranking on the App
Store. Coupled with a strategic paid media campaign, this enabled us to scale Hill Bill very quickly.

Challenge
The Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP),
a professional sports league for Beach Volleyball,
had helped launch the careers of Olympic Gold
Medalists like Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty
May-Treanor. Heading into their 30th Anniversary
Professional Tour, and with an eye on the 2016
Rio Olympics, AVP needed the right agency
partner to relaunch itself digitally and reassert
its position as the premier domestic beach
volleyball league.
Solution
Signed on as AVP’s Digital AOR, Screenpush
conducted a Digital Marketing Health Audit™,
which identified issues with their SEM efforts,
and social marketing engagement as well as
stagnant social growth. In three weeks we
designed, developed and launched a new search
optimized website and started a focused search
marketing integration campaign. We devised a
content strategy involving video, blog posts, PR,
social media, and unique engagement initiatives.
We worked with AVP’s internal team to execute
this strategy. We completely revised AVP’s
brand book, created new logos, and imagery; all
focused around the idea of AVP Beach Volleyball
as the ultimate beach lifestyle sport.

Challenge
Named after the man who introduced the copper rivet
to denim jeans. Jacob Davis USA is a boutique men’s
jeans and clothing label that creates classically inspired
clothing from salvaged denim, leather, twill and other
materials that embody rugged, individualistic American
style. Jacob Davis approached Screenpush with a great
product, a compelling brand story, and very little else. At
the time, they had only a rudimentary website that was
little more than a domain placeholder and less than a
hundred followers on Facebook and Twitter combined.
In addition to needing a complete digital profile, they
were also looking for a simple, effective way to sell their
classic, Americana-inspired line of jeans and clothes
online.
Solution
Within the space of one month Screenpush designed
and built Jacob Davis USA a fully operational new
website from the ground up. We took over their
Facebook and Twitter channels and launched an
aggressive social media campaign aimed at identifying
key influencers and helping to build up the social side of
their online presence. We successfully launched www.
jacobdavisusa.com, which in addition to being brand
centered and ecommerce enabled, also includes unique
features like a timeline depicting how music, film and
culture have helped fuel the rise of denim jeans over
the decades, as well as how the brand’s namesake;
Jacob Davis, played a key role in developing denim
jeans by partnering with Levi Strauss to introduce the
bronze riveted pocket.

Challenge
Purity Vodka is an award-winning Ultra-Premium Vodka
produced in a one-of-a-kind distillery housed in a castle
in southern Sweden. While most so-called premium
vodka brands are defined primarily by image and
style, Purity Vodka possesses unique character and
substance; stemming from its special distillation process,
during which ninety percent of the liquid produced is
discarded, in order to produce the purest and most
premium product possible. The result is vodka that is
of such exceptional quality that it requires no filtration,
leaving all the natural flavors and character intact. Yet
despite Purity Vodka’s obvious quality, the brand was
relatively unknown outside of Sweden and approached
Screenpush looking for a means to connect with a
broader demographic of vodka drinkers.
Solution
First we focused on Purity Vodka’s status as an awardwinning international vodka with unique character and
substance that set it apart from the crowded cluster
of neutral, mainstream vodkas. Next we built a social
media campaign designed to develop and relay internal
initiatives, brand positioning and focus. We took over
management of Purity Vodka’s social media platforms
including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
Through the use of platforms such as Meltwater and our
own Proprietary Dashboard, we monitored social media
for conversations relevant to the Purity Vodka brand and
employed a targeted social media strategy to engage
both existing customers and fans of premium vodka we
identified as potential customers. We also launched the
#TasteChallenge campaign to help broaden awareness,
reaching out to bloggers and sending targeted social
media messages to tens of thousands of users to
generate impressions and boost brand awareness.

  • 13. APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT Overview and Breakdown Food Trucks On Demand: Challenge The Food Truck market is huge and only set to get bigger. However with this rampant growth there are also emerging challenges. To be successful, truck owners must find ways to balance supply and demand with the ability to find and connect with customers in a saturated market. Screenpush discerned the need for an app that would help food trucks mitigate risk by connecting them with customers looking to be fed; while simultaneously providing a convenient service to consumers looking for food trucks, but unsure about where they might find one. We devised Food Trucks On Demand as a unique crowdfunding solution that would be a win-win for truck owners and consumers alike. In terms of developing FTOD, one of the biggest challenges we faced was trying to figure out an algorithm capable of handling credit card transactions in a broad manner that would be compatible with a new type of crowdfunding. We were also faced with the challenge of how to keep our iteration development fast enough to compete with the demands of the rampantly expanding food truck marketplace. Solution Front-end design in building Food Trucks On Demand was handled using HTML5. In terms of back-end development, we utilized technological tools and platforms that included PHP, Zen Framework and MySQL. Early on in our development of FTOD, we also discovered that existing off-the-shelf SaaS platforms weren’t really suitable to our needs. Thus, we choose to develop our own custom ecommerce platform in order to run FTOD. Results Ultimately, we were successful in conceiving, developing and launching Food Trucks On Demand - a fully functioning app that services multiple end points for the user, the trucks, the consumers, the commissaries, and restaurants that are looking for an entry into the burgeoning food truck market. FTOD is a unique platform that enables customers to place their orders via web or smartphone. Payments are authorized to customers’ cards but charges are only finalized once a truck owner has confirmed an event. Truck owners confirm events when enough customers have placed orders to make it worthwhile for their truck to show up. Once the truck is confirmed, customers’ cards are charged and they receive a verification code they present to the truck to receive their meal.

Not just for medical and dental practices, but also for salons, stylists, personal trainers and other appointment driven businesses. No show rates in some instances can be as high as 45% and for a medical practice a single no-show can mean losing between $100 to $500 in revenue. Many businesses try and compensate for high no-show rates by overbooking; leading to longer waiting times and client dissatisfaction, both of which make future no-shows even more likely. Using phone call reminders to manage appointments can lead to clients feeling harassed, while typically leaving the business with no time to schedule a replacement should a customer cancel. Solution While people are often unavailable to accept phone calls during working hours, up to 90% of all text messages are actually read by the recipient. And they typically elicit a higher response rate than email or phone calls. So to help businesses deal with the problem of no-shows, we designed and built Notif.ly; an innovative web-based appointment reminder tool designed to make it easy for anyone to manage appointments by sending out convenient texts to clients. We also made Notif.ly’s basic plan available for free to anyone who wants to give it a try. Results With Notif.ly’s simple, easy-to-use dashboard, medical practices and other businesses can now see at-a-glance who’s confirmed, who’s cancelled, and who hasn’t replied yet. Notif.ly has helped many businesses decrease their no-show rate by over 60%, freeing up business owners and employees to concentrate on important things like keeping clients happy, tracking down new leads and fostering a better work environment. For many businesses, using Notif.ly can result in a weekly revenue increase of anywhere from $500 to $2,000. This can lead to an annual revenue increase of between $25,000 to $100,000. APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT Overview and Breakdown Hill Bill Challenge Screenpush and our partner Balloon 27 Games worked together to develop Hill Bill, a new iOS motorcycle trick jumping game inspired in-part by Evel Knievel and in-part by the old NES title, Excitebike. With team members in widely dispersed geographic locations, including Europe, Los Angeles, and Canada, just working together and maintaining communications was a challenge. Also, one of the key elements of the game was that it had to be simple and intuitive, something difficult to maintain in an intricate game with multiple jumps, settings, costumes and other variables. With Hill Bill, we ultimately aspired to create a 3D game that would be artistic as well as entertaining. Solution Hill Bill was built using various iOS development tools including Xcode, Apple’s powerful integrated development environment for creating apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. For Android we utilized technologies like Jelly Bean and OpenGL ES 3.0. We used various technological tools to bridge the geographic divides. These included Basecamp to stay connected for file sharing and exchanging basic info, and OnTime, a bug tracking application. We also used Versions as our SVN to get a copy of the game up into the cloud. Some tutorials had to be added to the game, but we managed to keep it light, while also striving to make Hill Bill broad enough to appeal to both kids and adults. Results The end result was a motorcycle trick jumping game for iOS and Android; the storyline of which follows the adventures of Hill Bill, a hillbilly who as a kid idolizes Evel Knievel. Wanting to become the next great motorcycle daredevil himself, Bill buys a motorbike and embarks on a career as a motorcycle jumper. We follow Bill’s adventures as he travels and performs jumps across six beautiful worlds and on over 60 different levels. In marketing Hill Bill, we brought the full brunt of Screenpush’s proprietary marketing platform to bear in an organic earned and owned media campaign. We identified high-value consumers based on Keyword-driven digital conversations and competitive analysis. We were able to promote and distribute information about the game to well over 100-targeted users per day. We had a very high click-thrurate of 25%-45%, with a total download / conversion rate of close to 5%. We also engaged various game review sites and bloggers who helped promote the game, and we gave the game away for free for a limited time, bumping up its overall ranking on the App Store. Coupled with a strategic paid media campaign, this enabled us to scale Hill Bill very quickly.

Heading into their 30th Anniversary Professional Tour, and with an eye on the 2016 Rio Olympics, AVP needed the right agency partner to relaunch itself digitally and reassert its position as the premier domestic beach volleyball league. Solution Signed on as AVP’s Digital AOR, Screenpush conducted a Digital Marketing Health Audit™, which identified issues with their SEM efforts, and social marketing engagement as well as stagnant social growth. Jacob Davis USA is a boutique men’s jeans and clothing label that creates classically inspired clothing from salvaged denim, leather, twill and other materials that embody rugged, individualistic American style. Jacob Davis approached Screenpush with a great product, a compelling brand story, and very little else. At the time, they had only a rudimentary website that was little more than a domain placeholder and less than a hundred followers on Facebook and Twitter combined. In addition to needing a complete digital profile, they were also looking for a simple, effective way to sell their classic, Americana-inspired line of jeans and clothes online. Solution Within the space of one month Screenpush designed and built Jacob Davis USA a fully operational new website from the ground up. We took over their Facebook and Twitter channels and launched an aggressive social media campaign aimed at identifying key influencers and helping to build up the social side of their online presence. While most so-called premium vodka brands are defined primarily by image and style, Purity Vodka possesses unique character and substance; stemming from its special distillation process, during which ninety percent of the liquid produced is discarded, in order to produce the purest and most premium product possible. The result is vodka that is of such exceptional quality that it requires no filtration, leaving all the natural flavors and character intact. Yet despite Purity Vodka’s obvious quality, the brand was relatively unknown outside of Sweden and approached Screenpush looking for a means to connect with a broader demographic of vodka drinkers. Solution First we focused on Purity Vodka’s status as an awardwinning international vodka with unique character and substance that set it apart from the crowded cluster of neutral, mainstream vodkas.
