SCENE ONE
FADE IN:
EXT. HOUSE - AFTERNOON
We pan across an average looking semi detached house, the
road is pretty quiet. We hear music, quietly at first but
then becomes louder, we see a car pull up outside the
house and then sound the horn.
Seconds later a girl, Violet, appears from the house. We
have a shot of her locking the door, close up on the key
and the lock. We then have a shot from afar showing her
approaching the car and entering it, getting in at the
front passenger side. At this stage it looks like it is
coming from the point of view of something/someone that
is watching.
INT. CAR - AFTERNOON
As the girl gets into the car we see the other four
friends, including one other girl, Rebecca, and three
boys, Stanley, Benjamin and Charlie. They are all
laughing, having general conversations which aren’t
concentrated on.
VIOLET
Running late again, I see, hm,
Stan? What was it this time?
STANLEY
(laughing) oh, c’mon, vi! Y’know
me, when am I not late for
anything? Blame those three in the
back, anyway. (Points to Rebecca,
Benjamin and Charlie)
CHARLIE
(Overlapped) As if you’re blaming
me! Ben was the one that wanted
something to eat!
REBECCA
(Overlapped) It was these two who
wanted to go!
BENJAMIN
(Overlapped)I was hungry!
.2
Violet shows disappointment in them, but as Stanley turns
to her and smiles cheekily for approval it makes her
disappointment break and she laughs. We then cut to
outside the car, from a far, we see the car pull away,
head down the street and we hear the music playing again,
loudly but then becomes quieter, as the music becomes
quieter the screen becomes darker. Again, this comes from
the point of view of something/someone watching them, we
can tell this as it is slightly shakey.
SCENE TWO
FADE IN:
INT. CAR - AFTERNOON
We see this scene through a camera that belongs to one of
the friends. Charlie is holding the camera, we see him
recording himself as he checks himself out. He places an
arm around Rebecca, pulling her closer, he’s still
looking into the camera, smiling cheekily as we see
Rebecca trying to push him away and get out of the camera
shot.
REBECCA
(Covering her face and laughing)
CHARLIE! you need to stop! stop
it!
CHARLIE
(still holding onto Rebecca) Don’t
act as if you don’t love it!
REBECCA
(Hiding her face still) Just get
the camera out of my god damn
face!
The camera moves and turns around so it’s facing Violet
and Stanley in the front, We concentrate more on their
dialogue. We can hear the other three talking in the
background but no specific conversation can be heard from
them, just mumbles.
VIOLET
(Quietly talking) we can’t do that
to Ben, thats so cruel, Stan!
STANLEY
(Quietly talking) Don’t act as if
it wouldn’t be hilarious, admit it
Vi, seeing the panic on his face,
you cannot deny the humour!
.3
VIOLET
(Quietly talking) not gonna lie
but it would be pretty funny (She
laughs quietly) But We can’t,
Stan, that’s so cruel, y’know he’s
going through a tough time right
now, we couldn’t - I couldn’t!
Stanley looks at Violet quickly for a split second,
making himself appear sad, before turning back to the
road, he still has a frown on his face.
VIOLET
(Sighs and talks quietly) fine,
fine, I’ll text the plan to Becca,
get her to show Charlie, but I
still hate this idea, we always do
this sort of thing to him…
We see a smirk form upon Stanley’s face and Violet pull
out her phone, showing remorse for Ben but giving in to
Stan’s plan to make him happy. What she is texting
appears to the side of the screen.
VIOLET
(Texting) Don’t let Ben know, this
is Stan’s idea… We’re going to
hide from him in the forest… Tell
Charlie.
REBECCA
(Texting) omg! that’s an amazing
plan, can’t wait to see his face!!
The camera turns back around so we see Rebecca and
Charlie again, they are smirking and giggling to each
other, it then turns to Benjamin, back to them still
smirking and then to Benjamin, we hear them laughing and
Benjamin is clearly confused.
SCENE THREE
EXT. FOREST - AFTERNOON
Scene starts panning over the forest that the group of
friends are going to. We see a familiar car park up in
front of it, we know the group of friends have arrived.
The next angle is from inside the forest looking out as
we zoom in to get a closer view of the car and see the
five friends getting out. We then realise by the movement
of the view we are getting that somebody or something is
still watching them and has followed them.
.4
SCENE FOUR
EXT. FOREST - AFTERNOON
We will see this through the camera belonging to one of
the friends. This time Stanley is holding it, keeping it
on the two girls in front of him. Rebecca and Violet are
leading the group deep into the forest, they are
gossiping, the three other boys are trailing behind. We
see Benjamin approach the girls and stand next to Violet,
putting an arm around her and joining in on the
conversation. We hear Stanley whispering to Charlie to
hide in the forest, but to stay close behind. Rebecca
turns around and smirks as she realises that Charlie is
gone. She turns and whisper to Violet who then looks
back.
VIOLET
STAN? where the hell did Charlie
go?
STANLEY
What do you mean where did he go?
he’s right behi—
Stanley turns around, he pretends to have a shocked
expression as he has an understanding of what is going
on.
STANLEY
For god sake, I’m not his keeper!
I dunno? He’s probably got lost or
something, I’ll try and phone him?
This part we see from the point of view of whatever is
watching the group. He pulls his phone out, there is no
reception, he holds it out, trying to find reception.
BENJAMIN
(Smirking) Just like the lion
king, look; NAAA SAVEN YAAAAAA!
Stanley, Rebecca look at Benjamin disapprovingly and then
at each other, but Violet laughs at his attempt of a
joke.
.5
SCENE FIVE
EXT. FOREST - AFTERNOON
We see the group slowly split, one by one they each
disappear into the forest. Finally it is only Violet and
Benjamin left, we see this being recording through the
trees from Stanley recording with the camera. We see
Violet look directly into the camera with a sympathetic
look, we can tell she doesn’t want to do this but we see
Stanley make hang gestures infant of the camera
encouraging her to do so. As this happens we see a
shadowy figure move in the bushes/trees behind Violet and
Benjamin, the friends don’t see this but Violet hears
movement and turns around quickly.
VIOLET
Ben? What was what? Ben?
Seriously, I’m scared, what was
it?
BENJAMIN
(sighing) Spose I’ll have to go
and check…
She sends Benjamin a head to check if it’s safe to go but
as he does, Violet also goes into the forest to hide. We
see the hiding friends, excluding Violet, snap twigs and
rustle bushes as they watch Benjamin continue to walk
through the forest.
SCENE SIX
EXT. FOREST - AFTERNOON
We watch as Benjamin stops in his tracks, we hear the
other friends quietly giggling as we watch Benjamin
looking around, again we see a shadowy figure moving
behind him, this time coming out of the bushes and
pushing him. This scene is viewed from the friends camera
again.
BENJAMIN
(shouting) C’mon guys, this isn’t
funny any more!… Guys?… Guys!
c’mon you need to stop this.
Benjamin begins to panic. He frantically looks around, He
notices the shadowy figure in the background.
BENJAMIN
Is that you? Stan? Charlie? Just
come out… wait… what? who.. what
are you?
.6
We still hear the friends giggling in the background, but
we also hear mumbling between them.
VIOLET
(quietly) Guys, I feel bad, c’mon!
STANLEY
(laughing) Just a few more
minutes! violet, this is
hilarious…
We see Violet make eye contact with Rebecca, they both
show sympathy for Benjamin. Rebecca shakes her head and
looks to the floor, seeing how much of a panic Benjamin
is in. Rebecca gives Stanley a stern look. We see Rebecca
walking out from her hiding place, Violet follows shortly
after.
REBECCA
(Shouting) Ben! Over here!
VIOLET
(Shouting) Ben!
We see Benjamin turn around, a look of relief is shown
over his face. The two girls are laughing, Benjamin then
shows embarrassment. Violet hugs him. Stanley then
appears out of the bushes, laughing loudly.
STANLEY
Oh my god!… Jesus christ… Ben!…
that was fucking hilarious! I
can’t cope! You were.. so.. so
scared!
BENJAMIN
You know what? I was just
pretending, I knew you were hiding
from me, so I thought I’d go along
with it, especially when you
pushed me..
STANLEY
(Laughing) yeah, yeah, if you say
so.. wait? we didn’t push y-
VIOLET
wait, guys? Where is Charlie?
REBECCA
He’s probably just trying to freak
us out, you know what he’s like..
VIOLET
(sighs) yeah, true, he’s such an
idiot, let’s just keep walking
he’ll turn up in the end.
.7
SCENE SEVEN
EXT. FOREST - AFTERNOON
We see the friends walking deeper into the forest. This
time Violet is holding the camera. She concentrates on
the sky, the trees and the birds but we hear the
conversation in the background.
REBECCA
Just come on out, Charlie, this is
getting boring now…
BENJAMIN
Just leave him to it Becca, he’ll
get bored in the end!
STANLEY
(Loudly talking) I’ll just drive
home without him!
We hear Charlie scream. All four friends stop in their
tracks. The camera held by Violet pans over Rebecca,
Stanley and Benjamin who appear in shock. They all start
running, we can see this through the camera. When the
friends slow down, we see a shadowy figure moving through
the bushes, the friends don’t see this. We hear Charlie
shout/scream again. The screen goes black.
SCENE EIGHT
This is a montage, through the entirety we don’t see
faces we see everybody from behind, apart from Charlie
and Rebecca. We see Charlie with a girl, We can tell
they’re a couple. We see their happy memories but between
each happy memory is Charlie with another girl, it is
Rebecca. We see a female, dressed all in black, put on a
black jacket and gloves and put the hood up. We see her
following the group of friends all day. We see her hit
charlie over the head. We see her dragging him. He wakes
up. We hear him scream. The screen goes black and the
scene fades in and out, symbolising Charlie’s
consciousness, whenever Charlie and the girl talk. When
faded in it’s blurry so we still can’t see the girls face
clearly.
GIRL
Why did you do it, Charlie..(fade
out) Four years.. (fade out) four
years, down the drain… (fade out)
I can’t do this anymore… (Fades
out)
.8
CHARLIE
(heavily breathing) I’m sorry…
(fades out) please… (fades out)
She means nothing to me (fades
out) you’ll regret this… (fades
out) it doesn’t have to be this
way… (fades out) please… (fades
out)
The screen remains black now. We hear Charlie pleading
with the girl.
CHARLIE
(panicking and pleading) Please!
No! Stop! Please, please! No! No!
Stop this! Please, I love y—
It goes silent for a few seconds, the screen remains
black. Then when we finally fade back, we still hear no
sound but we see what is happening. This is from
Charlie’s point of view, he is on the floor still. His
vision is still a little blurry but becomes more clear
this time. We see the girl with a gun, pointed to him,
then she points it to her head and fires it. The sounds
then comes back we hear the gun shot, then Charlie
shouting/screaming. He rushes to her body on the floor.
He holds it in his arm. The shot moves out, away from
them and then fades black.

This is from Charlie’s point of view, he is on the floor still. His vision is still a little blurry but becomes more clear this time. We see the girl with a gun, pointed to him, then she points it to her head and fires it. The sounds then comes back we hear the gun shot, then Charlie shouting/screaming. He rushes to her body on the floor. He holds it in his arm. The shot moves out, away from them and then fades black.
