- 2. FADE IN: INT. SCHOOL CANTEEN - DAY In a school dining room a group of four boys sit and talk about standard high school stuff. RONNIE, The “main character” of the four. RONNIE So you guys heard the latest about Mia? Daniel, Ronnie’s best friend since primary school. DANIEL Last thing I heard was she got kicked out for that drama with Caleb. Josh, the “Snaky one” likes to gossip and talk behind peoples backs. JOSH Yeah but apparently he was the one that started it over what she did to Naomi on the ski trip. You were there you saw it right? Blake, the “quite one” who rarely speaks and doesn’t care for most high school drama. BLAKE (head faced down) Im not sure JOSH Bullshit you were in his room the whole time no way you didn't whole time! RONNIE (Laughing) Maybe its just too big to share? DANIEL Yeah somethings aren't meant to be heard by mortal men.
- 3. .2 JOSH No come on you gotta tell us what happened! The group descends into a light hearted argument when RONNIE notices Mia in the distance. RONNIE Woah what the hell is that her? She got kicked out! DANIEL Clearly someone must have made the whole thing up JOSH Didn't she have a cast when she left? You were in her class she had a big cast on her leg didn't she? BLAKE Im not sure Its here where RONNIE notices a nasty wound on JOSH’s hand. RONNIE Jesus christ how’d that happen? JOSH oh err just had a little accident in the kitchen this morning. It looks worse than it is trust me. The school bell goes off signalling the end of lunch JOSH Anyway have fun writing your 10,000 word essay or whatever. Come on lets go before the doors close.
- 4. .3 As everyone walks off the group of girls that Mia was standing with all menacingly stare at them as they walk away DANIEL Anybody else see that? No one? Fine INT. SIXTH FORM AREA - DAY Ronnie and Daniel are discussing the strange stories going at the school. A news report about meteors is playing on television screens in the background. DANIEL You can see it too right? RONNIE You mean Blake and Natasha? oh yeah they’re totally a thing i don’t care what he say’s. DANIEL How do you think Josh’ll feel about it? he’s had a crush on her since like primary school. Ronnie’s phone then starts to ring with Josh calling him RONNIE I don’t know lets ask him (answers phone on speaker) yeah? Josh and Blake are walking home JOSH Hey have you seen Ashley recently a few of her friends have been asking around?
- 5. .4 RONNIE (confused) Errrr not really not since last week. Why has something happened? JOSH Im not sure her friends seemed - Josh and Blake are then distracted by a bright flash of light in the distance. The phone signal starts to break down. The news report is turned up a little louder RONNIE (Over the phone) Hey you still there whats going on? Where are you? They see another flash and slowly start to walk towards the source of it. All the while Ronnie continues to check if Josh’s still there. The two are lead to a large bush and an unseen attacker pulls the two boys inside. The phone then cuts off with the last thing heard being a muffled scream. INT - SCHOOL CANTEEN - DAY It’s been one day since the last scene and they haven't heard anything from Josh and Blake since. Ronnie and Josh sit alone away from the everyone else. DANIEL You don’t know that! It’s probably just one of Josh’s dumb pranks he’s done stupid shit like this before RONNIE Yeah maybe but I still don’t like not knowing for sure. Daniel suddenly looks a lot more energetic and points towards Blake and Josh, who are walking towards them. DANIEL See I told you they’d be fine. What the hell was that?
- 6. .5 Blake and Josh stare blankly at them both. The wound on Josh’s hand has vanished. DANIEL Errr guy’s? Hey! The two then seem to snap out of their stare and behave more normal. BLAKE Oh yes sorry about that, we really got you then didn’t we? JOSH (To Ronnie) You ok man? RONNIE Oh yeah just, just glad to see you’re ok. Josh and Ronnie stare at each other both knowing that something is wrong. Again the bell rings to break the two up. BLAKE Right then I think you two should get going shouldn’t you? DANIEL Yeah I guess, see you later BLAKE/JOSH (Both still sitting) See you later Everybody clears out of the canteen with the two following behind slowly. They enter a small side room where their eyes start to glow bright blue and a creepy noise starts to play.
- 7. .6 FADE TO BLACK RONNIE’S HOUSE - INT - DAY Two weeks have passed since the last scene. Ronnie has grown paranoid and is sure that something has been doing things to people. Daniel is more worried about his friend’s behaviour. RONNIE It explains it though doesn't it! The disappearances, reappearance, the changes in behavio… DANIEL The only behaviour changes I’m worried about are yours. You’re not turning up at school, you’re not talking to anyone RONNIE You were there when it started! You saw them, Blake was like a completely different person! DANIEL Yh well maybe he’s just happy being with Natasha RONNIE Give me your hand! DANIEL What why? Ronnie grabs Daniels hand and cuts it with a knife. DANIEL Arggggh what the hell are you doing? RONNIE Its’ so that I know. When they copy they do a perfect one. They remove anything unique you see. Josh’s cut. you know the cut he
- 8. .7 had on his hand? Poof vanished over night. This way I’ll know. I’ll know if they take you DANIEL And who even are they? You need to stop this man you’re not well. RONNIE You’re lying if you haven’t noticed anything strange! You were there! You heard them on the phone before, you heard them scream! DANIEL Ok fine look. We go back to school tomorrow. We’ll have a look around see what we find, if anything stands out, we’ll notify the police, if not then you drop this obsession. Daniel leaves Ronnie sitting alone in the dark. INT. SCHOOL - DAY The last scene is without dialogue with music instead. Ronnie goes back to school the following day looking nervous and untidy. Just as he enters a class he catches the blue glow emanating from the room. Freaking out he runs outside and see’s blue glows coming from every window around him, turning off when he looks directly at it. He falls to the floor and breaks down. FADE TO BLACK INT. CANTEEN - DAY Ronnie re enters the school canteen. With no emotion he sits next to his friends. He notices the mark on scratch on Daniel has disappeared. The camera slowly pulls back as the sequence ends. FADE TO BLACK
