Script for The Forgotten

- 2. 2 FADE IN: LIVING ROOM. MIDDAY. Michael wakes up on sofa, confused. Floor beneath the sofa surrounded by lots of alcohol bottles and cans. MICHAEL “Where am I? What’s going on?” SILENCE. The house is awfully quiet. Michael isn’t aware of his whereabouts. MICHAEL “Hello? Is anybody home?” INT. HOUSE CORRIDOR. He studies the walls and ceiling as he moves along the house slowly. MICHAEL Talking to himself “Where am I?” INT. KITCHEN He approaches the fridge then sees a picture of a family on the fridge. He realizes that the man in the picture with the wife and child is him, however he doesn’t recognize himself. MICHAEL Getting Frustrated “Why can’t I remember anything? Who am i?” He walks back out of the kitchen then continues to wonder the mysterious house. INT. HOUSE CORRIDOR AGAIN He catches a slight shadow coming from one of the bedroom doors and starts to approach the room nervously. MICHAEL “Hello? Anyone there?”
- 3. 3 INT. BEDROOM As he enters the he switches on the light. He sees a black bag filled up in the middle of the room. As he approaches he is shocked by what he sees. The wife he saw in that photo dead, chopped up in the big. MICHAEL “What the f**k!? What’s happening here” He shouts Baffled about what’s happening, Michael recognizes the women dead in the bag, it was the women who was in the picture with him that was on the fridge. He brings out a phone that was on the side of the sofa when he woke up. He dials the police to report the murder. MICHAEL Panicking “I would like to report a death. I don’t know how the body got here but there’s blood everywhere! POLICE OPERATOR “What’s your name?” MICHAEL “Michael” POLICE OPERATOR “What’s your location?” MICHAEL “One second.” He looks out the window of the flat to try find a street sign or a building name. As he finds a sign of the building he says. “Avebury Street. Yes okay hurry. I’m freaking out. I don’t know what’s happening.” FADE OUT: FADE IN:
- 4. 4 15 Minutes Later INT. FRONTDOOR CORRIDOR DETECTIVE WEST “I’m detective West. I’m here about the phone call you made 15 minutes ago” MICHAEL “Yes, please come in” Pointing towards the body. “The body is this way. I don’t know what happened I woke up and came in and saw her dead. INT. BEDROOM As they enter, the detective instantly sees the dead body. As this happens Michael sees the detective slyly back out his handcuffs and fears that his going to get arrested for it. MICHAEL Panicking “I don’t know what happened. She was just there dead I swear.” FLASHBACK INT. BEDROOM A Mysterious figure over Katherine’s body (The wife) holding a knife whilst she’s screaming Michael’s name for help. KATHERINE “Michael!!! Helppp!!” The mysterious person squats down and covers her mouth so you only hear her muffling. He raises his hand with the knife in it and flashback ends. FADE OUT: BACK TO BEDROOM DETECTIVE WEST “Michael. I’m arresting you on suspicion
- 5. 5 murder. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you.” Michael struggles as the detective puts the handcuffs on, leading to him taking Michael to the floor to restrain him. FADE OUT: FADE IN: INT. INTERGATION ROOM Detective brings Michael into the room with the handcuffs on. Michael nervous, distraught and confused about everything that has happened is sat down at one end of a table whilst detective west is stood up. MICHAEL “What’s happening?” DETECTIVE WEST “You got a visitor. He claims to be your brother” Detective West brings in a man who looks similar to Michael. He sits down opposite a table where Michael is sat. LINCOLN “Don’t you remember what happened?” FADE OUT.
