Alfred is a successful 20-year-old man who doesn't like others involved in his life. One day, he sees a homeless man on the street and throws bread on the ground instead of giving it to him. The homeless man, named Steve, confronts Alfred about not helping him. That night, Alfred loses all his money and success overnight. The next day, Alfred is poor like Steve and realizes how quickly things can change. Steve recognizes Alfred's new situation and gives him money to buy breakfast, showing that people can change. They sit together as equals, with Alfred apologizing and Steve saying the past is the past.
