This document discusses the selection and evaluation of fractional order proportional integral derivative (FOPID) controller criteria for the X-15 adaptive flight control system (AFCS) using optimization algorithms. It highlights the challenges in optimizing AFCS, including criteria selection, performance trade-offs, and critical values, while proposing methods such as black hole optimization, Jaya optimization algorithm, and sunflower optimization for trajectory correction and missile launch efficiency. The study emphasizes the importance of optimizing FOPID gains for effective motion control and the necessity for further research in selection methodologies for optimization techniques in adaptive flight systems.
