Self-awareness is an important skill to ACQUIRE
Knowledge and awareness of your own personality
or character
What is self-awareness?
Self-awareness is the capacity for
introspection.
Deeply understand your personal thoughts,
emotions, and behavior.
The ability to recognize oneself as an
individual separate from the environment
Do you say or do things without thinking ?
How this will affect or impact the people around you?
What is self-awareness?
Self awarness
How self-awareness can help you live a happy,
stress free life?
It is an attitude that will help you face problems
better and get along with people well.
It is an important key to success.
when you are self-aware you get to build stronger
and better relationships with your family and
friends.
You become someone who can take life’s
turbulence in stride with a smile on your face
and peace in your heart.
It helps in choosing the right career and
ensures fast career growth.
You become a positive person who spreads
positive vibes despite facing the stress of day
to day living.
How self-awareness can help you live a happy,
stress free life?
Impaired self-monitoring or behaviour – the person may not observe
mistakes, errors.
Impaired attention and concentration a person may have difficulty
taking in new information or feedback about their performance or
ability.
Squeeze of self awareness :
Impaired memory or new learning difficulty retaining and retrieving
information about their performance and ability and may forget problems
or errors.
They may be unable, unready or unwilling to accept or deal with major
changes in their life plans, hopes, or goals as the result of a significant
injury.
Squeeze of Self awareness :
•Acknowledge your initial feeling or
perception.
•Clear your mind. Let things flow
•Information is verifiable, predictable
and controllable
•Self-disclose so others can provide
Insights into your behavior
Developed self awareness :
•Identify your sensitive line
•Identify your values
•Seek ways to expand yourself
•Identify important interpersonal incompatibilities
•Engage in self-disclosure
•Keep a journal
Developed self awareness :
• Self-Awareness improves your judgment and decision
making skills.
• It bridges the gap between skills you have and you don’t
have and exploits your existing skills up to the hilt.
• When you know more about yourself, most of the
problems in your life are resolved automatically.
• You can become a successful mentor, facilitator, teacher,
leader and role model with better self-awareness.
