This document presents a method called IMF-based Adaptive Envelope Order Analysis (IMF-AEOA) for detecting faults in rolling element bearings under harsh operating conditions characterized by time-varying speeds and external shocks. The proposed method combines ensemble empirical mode decomposition, envelope order tracking, and fault sensitivity analysis to enhance the clarity of bearing fault signatures and effectively identify both single and multiple faults. Experimental validation demonstrates its effectiveness as a reliable diagnostic tool for bearing faults amidst strong interferences.
