Lesson Plan  Topic   : Days of a week Teaching Goal :  Let students  know days of the week .  Teaching Methods :  The Silent Way Objectives :  1.  To learn the  days of the week. (recognize and pronounce) 2. To use days of the week to make sentences.  2
Lesson Plan Students :  1st grade in junior high school Numbers of students :  15 Time : 50 min.  Material and Equipments : rods, and posters and word chart.  3
Lesson Plan Procedures:  warm up   (3 min.) 1. Show the calendar to Ss. Let them know what they    will learn today.  4

Lesson Plan Procedures:  A. Presentation  –  Vocabulary   (25 min.) Introduce new words with rods. Use rods to explain the meaning of the days of the week. The T start with something the Ss already know and build from that to unknown.  The Ss will bring with them the experience of already learning language.  6

Lesson Plan Procedures:  A. Presentation  –  Vocabulary   (25 min.) Introduce new words with rods. Ss take turns to practice the target language.  The T keeps silent to make the Ss practice.  The T use gesture to show how to modify the sounds.  Ss should learn to rely on each other and themselves. 8

Lesson Plan Procedures:  A. Presentation  –  Vocabulary   (25 min.) Ss practice the target language with word chart The T points the words on the word chart and Ss try to speak them out.  Reading is worked on from beginning but follows from what students have learned to say.  10

Lesson Plan Procedures:  B. Presentation  –  sentence   (20 min.) Try to use what Ss have learned to make sentence. The T says, “Today is…..”, “Yesterday is…..”, and “Tomorrow is…..”, only once. Ss learn to pay attention in order not to miss what T says.  12
Lesson Plan Procedures:  B. Presentation  –  sentence   (20 min.) Ss engage in a great deal of meaningful practice without repetition. / Take turn to practice.  Ss use combine weekdays with what they have leaned before to make sentences.   Ss gain autonomy in language by exploring it and by making choices.  13
