INTRODUCTION TO
MODELLING AND
SIMULATION
Introduction
 Modelling is instructional strategy in which the
teacher demonstrates a new concepts or approach to
learning and student learn by observing.
 Simulation is particular type of modelling and
operation of a model system
Function of Stella
 Stella enable students to creatively change and teach
them to look for relationships.
 Clearly communicate system inputs, outputs and
demonstrate outcomes.
 Provide a practical way to communicate and
visualize on how complex system work.
Simulation in Learning Process
 Accelerates Learning
Experiential Learning methodology uses critical thinking, problem
solving and decision making to deliver a training module.
 Provides a Safe Learning Environment
Simulations use real life scenarios
 Provides Accurate Assessment Results
Analytics engines in simulations record, analyze and provide a
detail report on the participants’ interaction throughout the
simulation
