Why Exams?
Helps to identify those ready for promotion to next stage
It helps identify students talents which lead to people becoming Doctors,
Nurses, Engineers, Teachers, Presidents, Ministers, Pastors among others
Helps to Identify Gabs in Knowledge
Helps student to learn more

Why Exams?
It serves as encouragement to students to study
 It aids later retention
Exams help to transfer knowledge to students
It also help students to better organize their thoughts

Examiners take
1. Language Usage
Correct Construction of Sentences
Appropriate use of words
Knowledge of grammar in subjects such as Social Studies, French, DBT(Home Economics) and
Integrated Science.
2. In-depth Knowledge of Subject Matter
It is required of you to show an in-depth knowledge in subjects such as Maths, RME, and
ICT etc.

3. Provision of Accurate and Appropriate Answer
Development of points
Presentation (In orderly manner)
Legible Handwriting
Mastery over Practical and Computational Skills (e.g graphical representations in
Mathematics)
Creativity

Examiners take
4. Good Knowledge of Concepts and Principles
Mastery over Significant figures, decimal places, bisections and Standard
forms in mathematics
Mastery over writing and balancing Chemical equation in Science
Equal attentions should be given to both theories and practical

THE PPG APPROACH
1. P PLAN (Before Examination)
Outline the number of Subjects to study
Outline all the topics for each Subject
Plan differently for difficult subjects
Make sure you know exactly where and when the examination is going
to take place
Check if you have spare pens, pencils and other permitted equipment(s)

2. P PREPARE (Before Examination)
Prepare an examination time table
Revise your materials thoroughly using checklist from planning stage
Attend all tutorials offered by colleagues and teachers
Seek for helping hands from friends and teachers (Matt 7:7)

3. G Go for the Exams(Examination Time)
Get a good night sleep
Be confident in yourself
Allow yourself plenty time before the exams commence
(e.g. 1 hour before time)
Don’t go to the exams room with empty stomach

Read instructions and directions carefully
Change position to relax
If you go blank, skip the question and go to next question
There is no reward for finishing first so don’t panic but
work according to time
Never put your hope and trust in “Apor”
Read over your answers before submission

CONCLUSION
Success in Exams though has something to do with what has been said
previously, depends solely on God. Hence before you begin paper each day just
meditate upon this quotation below and success will be your portion:
“I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will
counsel you with My eye upon you”(Psalm 32:8)
