                   To explore representation in sitcoms

Differentiate between the terms stereotype, archetype
                and genre type.

Apply the terms whilst discussing ideas about character
                types and gender.

Exchange and feedback ideas relating to representation
                of characters in sitcoms.

themselves but are essential for the story to
                                         work, e.g. the ‘guest star’.
