- 1. Confidence on Presentation We had a presentation in English class. Because most of the students in our class are international students, they always talk about big cities such as: Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa and Montreal. They don’t know about Atlantic Regions. So my presentation was to introduce Atlantic Canada. In my presentation, I introduced the four provinces and their environment, features and tourist attractions. The instructor and students in my class gave me a high grade for my presentation.
- 2. Helpful If my classmates need help, I was always willing to help and take the time, and effort to make sure they understood. This picture shows a time when my classmate had a problem on her computer homework- it was Excel formula function issue. I explained to her how to use the financial function and make the calculations easier. She understood how to solve this problem. Later on, she told me this financial function is so helpful in her accounting application.
- 3. Creative There was a fundraising fair for raising funds at Regent Heights Elementary School. As volunteers, my son and I were discussing the creation of some interesting games such as across river, balloon shot, and words guess for attracting students. Our games brought in 10% of the funds raised.
- 4. Cooperative in Teamwork When I studied in ESL class, our instructor required us to do a research on the clothing styles of different cultures. Our group researched China, South Korea and India. We went to Chinatown, Korea Town and Little India to talk about their traditional clothing. We worked as a team, with all of us enjoying this trip very much.
- 5. Honoured on leadership We were assigned to complete a website for our company, which would include a home page and information about the company. As the team leader, I need to encourage every group member who was involved in this project. I delegated to each member a responsibility that matched with their specialties and working habits. The website we designed included almost all of the information and graphics needed by company and customers. Eventually, we established the website successfully. We celebrated it by holding a party.
