Abstract
The Smart Queue Management System is a web-based application designed to streamline patient flow in Hospitals by
reducing wait times and improving service efficiently. The system enables users to register and authenticate, select their
preferred hospital, and join a queue with real-time status tracking. A payment Processing feature ensures seamless
transactions before queue entry. The integrated payment processing system ensures secure transactions,Additionally,users
can optionally schedule appointments,receive real-time notifications, and stay informed about queue status through
SMS,email,or push notification. For hospital administrators, the system provides an admin dashboard for effective queue
management,appointment control,and payment tracking. By enhancing patient flow and reducing wait time, the smart queue
management system improves both user experience and hospital efficiency.
Introduction
Patients often struggle with long waiting times, unclear queue status, and overcrowded hospital lobbies,
leading to frustration and inefficiency. The Smart Queue Management System solves this by allowing users
to regester online, select a hospital, and join a queue digitally. It provides real-time queue tracking, estimated
wait times, and instant notifications, ensuring a smoother experience. Patients can also schedule
appointments and make payments online to avoid unnecessary delays. Hospitals can manage the queue and
payment system while also modifying their doctors' list to enhance efficiency and improve user convenience.

Existing system and challenges
In the traditional hospital queuing system, patients must physically visit the hospital, take a manual
token, and wait in long queues for their turn.Some hospitals allow patients to book consultations via
phone calls, but this method often leads to mismanagement, scheduling conflicts, and a lack of real-
time updates.
Challenges in Existing Systems:
This system leads to overcrowding, increased patient frustration, and inefficient time management.
There is no real-time tracking of queue status, making it difficult for patients to estimate their wait
times. Additionally, payment processing is often handled separately, causing further delays. Hospitals
also face challenges in managing patient flow and doctor availability, leading to operational
inefficiencies and poor patient experience..
Proposed System
Patients can join the queue online, track their position in real time, and schedule appointments
with live availability updates. The system provides real-time queue status updates and estimated
wait times, ensuring transparency. An integrated online payment system allows patients to
complete payments before joining the queue for a seamless experience. Automated SMS, email,
and push notifications keep patients informed about their queue status and appointment reminders.
Additionally, a centralized dashboard enables hospitals to efficiently manage queues, payments,
and doctor availability, streamlining operations and improving patient experience.
