Mac OS Snow Leopard introduced several new features including Stacks for organizing files, Exposé for window management, and Cover Flow for browsing files visually. The sidebar allows navigating devices, shared computers, user-added places and searches. Quick Look previews files without opening them and lets users compare multiple files. QuickTime X updates allow recording, trimming and sharing videos. Spaces allows organizing multiple desktops.

- 5. Navigating the Computer - Sidebar Devices show your hard drive and any connected external storage devices such as CDs or external hard drives. Shared shows any computers on your network that have sharing turned on. You do NOT want to have sharing turned on unless you are using it. Servers will show here when connected. Places are libraries or folders on your computer that you access frequently.You can add any folder to this list for quick access. Search - Commonly used searches are included in the sidebar, and you can add your own searches.
- 6. Quick Look - File Information Quick Look allows you to look inside a document without opening it. In this illustration, I have clicked on the file Caskey Resources, then clicked on the Quick Look button. A Quick Look window opens. 1 2 Tip: If you have a multipage document, Quick Look allows you to navigate to each page.
- 7. Quick Look - Compare Files Quick Look allows you to look at multiple documents at once When you select multiple documents, then click the Quick Look button, you will open all selected documents. A control bar lets you navigate through the files, play them in a slideshow fashion, look at them in a grid view, or view full screen.
