- 1. Today most software vendors and intelligent device manufacturers are in the processes of transforming their infrastructure to reduce capital and operational costs while improving customer experience. The goal of the KickStart program is to improve time-to-value when deploying Software Monetization solutions from Flexera Software. This program provides an operational solution in which FlexNet Operations and FlexNet Licensing is embedded into the customer’s products and back-office to meet scalability and business requirements to enable a baseline software monetization. The service is scaled based upon the business size, needs and complexity of product offerings and supply chain maturity. Flexera Software Global Consulting Services (GCS) work alongside customer resources in a shared delivery model to provide a blend of best-practice advice and hands-on activity to produce results in a cost-effective manner. Each of the KickStart services – Basic, Standard, Advanced and Premium – includes: • Industry standard design to support a baseline for incorporating FlexNet Operations into the back-office, and FlexNet Licensing into the customer products according to Flexera Software’s recommended baseline business blueprint and use-case catalog. • Deployment services will be leveraged to help deploy FlexNet Operations and rationalize with customers’ other back office systems and process. This may include interacting with ERP/ MRP, CRM, eCommerce, PLM, customer-facing support portal or internal administrative portals. • Test and go-live planning and assistance, to ensure the successful deployment of the customer FlexNet Operations Environment. • Project management to work with the customer’s project management to create schedules, plan and allocate resources, and resolve issues and escalations in a timely fashion. The service is scaled based upon the business size, needs and complexity of product offerings and supply chain maturity. Delivery Approach The Flexera Software KickStart services includes technical subject matter expertise and project management skilled in helping customers deploy Flexera Software products. The following delivery approach is utilized: I. Flexera Software Product Setup in Development Environment • FlexNet Operations – Deploy and Configure to industry standard baseline use cases – Administrator Functionality • FlexNet Licensing (Standard, Advanced Premium only) – Setup Development Environment – Developer Training II. Back Office Integration (Advanced Premium only) • FlexNet Operations – Web Services Training – Integration guidance for ERP, CRM, SSO, portal, PLM, etc. – Integration Design specification (Premium only) Project Timeline The project timeline will vary by the offering. The following timeframes are useful guidelines: • Basic Standard: 2 Months • Advanced Premium: 3 Months Deliverables The major outcome of the service is a fully deployed and operational software monetization systems where FlexNet Licensing is embedded into products, and FlexNet Operations is deployed in a production-ready state alongside existing business systems and processes. Customer Project Team For implementation, test and deployment, the client commitment requirements are typically: • 1-2 engineers for 2 months to perform FlexNet Licensing integration • 1 IT developer for 2 months to deploy FlexNet Operations • Various operational stakeholders to perform unit test, system test and go-live Related Services Additional services can be provided on an as-quoted basis.
