▪ Using proactively monitoring solar panels for their functioning and addressing faults, we can retrieve efficient
power output against faulty solar panels, connections, dust gathered on panels lowering output and other such
issuesaffecting solar performance.
▪ Faststream Technologies offers an automated IOT based solar panel monitoring/troubleshooting system that
allows for automated solar panel monitoring from anywhere over the internet. As part of our solution, we make
use of several IoT gateways suitable for different needs, based on SoCs like STM32, ESP32, ublox, CC3200,
SiliconLabs, to monitor the solar panel parameters in turn providing Solar Plant Insights.
▪ Our system constantly monitors the solar panel and transmits various parameters to the Cloud over IOT
system. Here we make use of the IOT platform to transmit solar power parameters to Amazon/ Azure cloud
/IOT server via gateway (over WiFi and Ethernet). A powerful web interface allows viewing of data in
meaningfulformats, enabling users to make decisions.

▪ The alerts originated from Panel comes to rescue in tackling situations like output falling below specific limits
or some sort of malfunctioning. This makes remote monitoring/handling of solar plants very seamless and
intuitive,addressing faults within stipulated time..
▪ We also have Alerts and monitoring interface on Android/iPhone for distributed Solar Panel Monitoring System
(SPMS). This method utilizes the Bluetooth interface of Android/iPhone as a communication link for data
exchange with digital hardware of the Solar Unit.
▪ Introduction to an instant monitoring solar panel system, that is constituted with a sensor on current and
voltage measurements of each panel source, the related values are measured with the developed sensing
circuits and processed by 18F4450 microcontroller of Microchip.
▪ The processed parameters are then transmitted to the personal computer (PC) over MODBUS to be saved in
the database and to observe the system instantly. The Coded visual interface of monitoring software can
manage the saved data to analyze daily, weekly and monthly values of each measurement separately.

It is a Data driven system which continuously monitors the
level of soiling on Solar panels.
It helps in data driven rationalizing O&M Cleaning
schedules of the Solar Panel Plant.
It can be optionally connected with our Pyranometers and
Rain sensors to further enhance its Alerting cycles.
DMAS comes bundled with a Web dashboard for Real-
time monitoring.
The actual alerts are sent automatically through SMS and
Emails.
DMAS seamlessly integrates with our Wireless connection
system .
DMAS will help in immensely saving time consumption
and labor cost.

Dust Monitoring and Alert System
Faststream Technologies Dust Monitoring &
Alerting System (DMAS) alerts Solar Panel
Owners on when to clean the Solar panels.
 Data concentrator which collects data from all nodes in a Wireless Network.
 It can also directly interface to Inverters, Weather Stations, Transformer Panels, Energy Meters etc. over
MODBUS RS485 or TCP/IP.
 Collected data is routed to the Gateway which in turn uploads it to a Server/Azure/Amazon Cloud.
 The Data Concentrator Gateway can be connected to the Internet either via LAN cable, WIFI or 3G/4G USB
Dongle.

 In case of Internet disruption, the collected data would be stored in Local memory. Minute by Minute data of up
to 60 days can be stored in Local Memory. Once the Internet service resumes, this data is uploadedto the
Server with their original timestamps.
 Data transfer between Server and Data Concentrator Gateway can be realized using JSON as well as MQTT
format.
 The Gateway can be used to remotely restart selectivelyany given Wireless Node within its Network.
 Complete wireless network health can be monitored by remotely connecting to the Gateway.

TCP/IP MODBUS ports.
 IP65 Enclosed Solution
 Solar grade Cable Glands and wires used.
 Node supply input can be anywhere from 6V to 45V.
 Vendor Independent MODBUS TCP/IP Interface. Can be programmed to interface to any kind of MODBUS
device.
 Data is read from equipmentand Wirelesslysent to the Control Room via one Device Monitor RF protocol.

 It is a Multi channel system where the String Currents are measured using its built-in Hall Current Sensors.
 Currents up to 20A can be directly measured within +/- 100mA accuracy.
 2KV isolation is maintained across channels of the strings.
 Optional IP65 Enclosure with all currents tapped via MC4 connectors and glands.
 Operationalsupply voltage from 6V to 45V (tapped across a single Panel).
