SPSS is a popular statistical software package that allows users to perform complex data analysis and manipulation with simple instructions. It contains four main windows - the data editor, output viewer, syntax editor, and script window. The data editor allows users to define, enter, edit and display data. The output viewer displays results of analyses. The syntax editor is used to write analysis instructions. The script window allows writing of full programs. SPSS imports data, allows sorting and transforming of variables, and can run various statistical analyses such as frequencies, descriptive statistics, and linear regression.
