- 2. Hello everyone,My name is John Staab.In case you’re wondering, this is one of my three Siberian Huskies. His name is Thor.
- 3. When I can find some free time, I like to spend in on the golf course or riding my Harley.
- 4. My future plans include graduating in December, and moving on to Mary Washington to complete a Bachelors.This past Summer semester was my 2 year mark in the IT program, but I started at Germanna in 2005 on a Business track before switching to IT Security.My major focus in IT is security because that is the profession I am already in. Obtaining a degree will help me with advancement at my current job.
- 5. Teamwork is an easy deal for me. I spent 4 1/2 years in the Marine Corps and if I learned anything, it is how to work in a team environment.
- 6. I am a “Jack of All Trades” when it comes to technical abilities. I have worked the entire gambit of the IT world, from basic computer troubleshooting and repair to entire network infrastructure design and implementation. For the past 5 years I have been doing network security auditing for the Government.My presentation creation skills are not an issue, but I can always use presenting experience. I have no problems presenting once I get started.As for online presentation experience...This will be my first experience with online presenting so I will be learning about it as I go. My gifts or talents would probably be my ability to pick new things up quickly. Once I see something one time, I can replicate it with little to no problems.
- 7. A teammate could help me with organization. I am notorious for nicely writing things down and then not follow the plan I created.Best meeting times for me will have to be after 6pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends. I have another class on Tuesday nights, so that will not work for me. As for methods, I can meet online or at a physical location.
