- 1. Stepping out of my box with exploring in technology This lesson plan was far more different in comparison to my very first lesson plan that I had developed in this class. I decided to fully incorporate technology for my lesson plan. As I sat and thought of the many different types of lessons to develop I attempted to go where I have never been before which is developing a lesson plan that fully circles teaching students the art of critiquing and developing their multimedia. As I began to create my lesson I asked myself how I would attempt to get the point across to middle schooler’s. This was where all the questions began for the creation of my lesson. I asked myself what type of lesson I wanted to develop that is something not familiar to me and I took off from there. I got the idea of using Photo Story 3 from doing multimedia research on my final “Technology Proficient Professional Presentation”. Again, I asked myself what could be the most user friendly multi media tool that I can incorporate into my lesson. It took off from there, I downloaded the photo story 3 onto my PC and began to explore. I came across Digital Photo Storytelling: Photo Story 3 Tutorial and this was where it gave me a plethora of information needed. I was able to incorporate NETS*T 2A which is “design developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that apply technology-enhanced instructional strategies to support the diverse needs of learners”.
