Jesus tells his disciples that if they love him, they will obey his commands. He promises to ask God to give them the Holy Spirit to be with them forever. Jesus says he will not leave them as orphans but will come to them. He says whoever obeys his commands loves him, and he will love and show himself to those who obey. Jesus teaches his disciples to obey God and leave the consequences to him.
