filament and an anther, which contains pollen.
Parts of a stamen:
Filament: A stalk-like structure that supports the anther and carries nutrients
and water to it.
Anther: The part of the stamen that produces pollen.
4. Petal and Sepal
Petal
A petal is a modified leaf that surrounds the reproductive parts of a flower.
Sepal
A sepal is a leaf-like structure that protects the flower bud and supports the
petals when the flower blooms.
5. Pistil of Flower
The pistil is the female reproductive part of a flower. It's made up of three
parts: the stigma, style, and ovary. The pistil's main function is to produce a
fruit that contains seeds.
Parts of the pistil:
Stigma: The sticky knob at the top of the pistil that receives pollen.
Style: The long, tube-like structure that connects the stigma to the ovary.
Ovary: The swollen base of the pistil that contains ovules, or female egg
cells.
