Activity 1 – Think, pair, share
❑ Think –On a piece of paper write 3 words related to
“Student- centered classrooms and cooperative
learning “. (3 minutes, individually)
❑ Pair – Pair up with a partner next to you.
❑ Share – Share and comment your words with your
partner . Each one chooses one word to share with the
whole group. (3 minutes)
Activity 2 – A-Z line up
⬜ Line up in 2 rows randomly.
⬜You lost your memory but you remember a
single word: your “magic word”.
You can only talk with the person in front of
you, or behind you.
⬜TASK - stand in alphabetical order according
to the word you chose to share.
⬜ After completing the task share your words.

TANGRAM
⬜ Get together in groups: find your partners
according with the animal.
⬜ Asign a role to each member: encourager, note
taker, time keeper, english only, moderator.
⬜ TASK 1: arrange the pieces in the envelope into
the given shape.
Be sure to “speak”your thoughts and support
your decisions (5 minutes)
Activity 3 – Tangram

Discuss briefly
◼What constructive behaviors helped you complete
the Tangram task?
◼What were some of the frustrations you felt?
◼What were some choices you made in order to
complete your task successfully?

Activity 4 – Talking Circles
⬜Stand in two concentric circles. Each one
should be standing in front of a partner, facing
each other.
⬜The inner circle starts
sharing.
Each time you hear a clap the
outer circle moves to the right
one position.
