They use consistent colour scheme on all posters to make it recognisable to the audience The images used on the posters are of the characters, they are commonly long shots/mid shots and often have something in the image to draw the audience to the poster and then the film This is a mid shot of three characters and it connotes that they have been in an adventure because they all have cuts and bruises and the only of the left has a baby.

Posters Commonly on a poster they have a slogan of the film to make the audience guess what the film is about, this is often a short sentence or sometimes is a rhetorical question The slogan here is a rhetorical question and would make the reader think what pill does this and also makes the reader think if he does become rich and powerful On a film poster they often advertise past films, they say ‘from the producer off’ they use this because it makes the audience think, if they liked the producers last film then they would like the new film he made. ‘Brought you the ‘The 40 year old virgin’ and ‘Tallaganda Nights’ this would attract the fans of these two films to go and watch Superbad as it is from the same producer and therefore they are more likely to attract the fans to watch Superbad

When it is released is commonly found underneath the title of the film, it is in sans serif font and it quite bold font to make it stand out.

They have different props that are associated with teenagers for example porn magazines and drinks. Finally, they have obscure messages in the poster to show different meanings for example American Pie has a flute in one poster and the pie on the side, this would make the audience want to know why these props are being used. Credits are at the top of the page, with the release date at the top ‘coming soon.’ The characters are teenagers and the girls have a sexual nature which attracts teenage boys.
