MANTA Instruments 7770 Regents Road #113-573 San Diego, CA 92122 January 15, 2016 Re: Summary of Danny DeBruin’s Internship at MANTA To whom it may concern, Danny was a summer intern mechanical engineer with MANTA in 2015 as part of USD’s JD Power internship program. His main tasks were designing and building a tool to produce an important part for our product. Danny was involved in the project from beginning to end. He participated in brainstorming to generate concepts for the project. He then did project planning, detailed design as well as manufacturing, assembly and final testing of the tool he developed. He completed those tasks with supervision by myself and our VP of Engineering as needed, but much of what he did was accomplished with a great deal of autonomy. The project was a complete success and we gave him an A+ grade for the internship. From working with Danny I found that he has good listening skills, is dedicated, hard working and very capable when it comes to designing and building hardware.
