- Europeana has achieved support from various organizations and has nearly 5 million digitized objects online through a partner network of 200 institutions. An object data model and governance model have been designed and a prototype developed. 8 million euros in funding has been secured. - The vision for 2011 is for Europeana to become an aggregator, distributor, catalyst, innovator, and facilitator that generates revenue. Key goals are to automate ingestion, improve data quality, resolve intellectual property issues, manage user generated content, improve search capabilities, and secure long-term funding. - Workgroups will focus on legal issues, ensuring user participation, continuing to develop the object and business models, defining policies, and engaging communities

- #4: Yes its primary vision is to be an aggregator or a super aggregator, the aggregators aggregator...............developing and promoting standards and access to shared repositories of cross walks and thesauri, enriching content and making it accessible through one portal But maybe more importantly it should be a distributor via API’s
